An Adorable Compilation Video of Baby African Wildlife – We Are The World Blogfest #WATWB

The aim of We Are The World Blogfest is to shine a little light on any darkness in the world or in ourselves, by sharing uplifting stories. The blogfest seeks to promote positive news. There are many cases of love and light out there, stories that show compassion and the resilience of the human spirit. Sharing these stories increases our awareness of hope in our increasingly dark world. This gathering takes place once a month.
Our special lead co-hosts for this month are: Shilpa Garg, Peter Nena, Eric Lahti, Roshan Radhakrishnan and Inderpreet Kaur Uppal.

Rob The Ranger has shared a video of all the baby cutest animals in South Africa.

A video compilation of South African wildlife has popped up online thanks to Rob the Ranger and it is making our hearts feel warm and fuzzy!

The video contains footage of playful elephant calves and cheetahs to newborn buffalo and round-bellied lion cubs. The video made us smile. It is a real blessing being able to live in a place where the wild animals live and grow.

Hearing the tender roar of a young lion or watching the first steps of a Springbok is something incredible. Something to be proud of, something to keep safe and to fiercely protect.

“Humanity can no longer stand by in silence while our wildlife are being used, abused and exploited. It is time we all stand together, to be the voice of the voiceless before it’s too late. Extinction means forever.” – Paul Oxton who is the founder of Wild Heart Wildlife Foundation. I’m so happy you shared these animal videos. When you watch the animals, you start to appreciate and love their intelligence, skills, how they understand the earth better than we do, how they raise their young and build a strong community, their love, care, their games. I have been hooked on these kind of videos. I have slightly over 45GB of them. My favourite pastime.
Last Sunday, I was watching a video about ants. There are some ants in Indonesia that rely on a high-energy secretion from mealybugs. So they herd the mealybugs the way we herd our domesticated animals. The mealybugs feed on plant sap. The ants constantly carry them to fresh regions of the plant to feed, and when the ants detect rain (and they do this long before we humans can tell) they carry the mealybugs to safety and put them under the leaves where the rain cannot not touch them. I’m still awed. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve had a peek at the video Michelle thank you but have saved for later! The message is so lovely – seeing how animals take care of their young is a lesson we could learn .. and the importance of standing up for the voiceless ..

Hi Michelle – that was wonderful and yes how we need to look after all aspects of life … tiny, medium and small … and look after our kids – giving them the best start. Loved this – particularly the dumpy rhino – looked almost like a stuffed animal … as his horn hadn’t started to grow; and the leopards already practising their lying out poses … so delightful to see – and how we need to protect and make sure they all survive. Thanks so much … my #WATWB will be up soonish! Cheers Hilary

Hi, Michelle – I knew that this video would be a perfect ending to my day…and it was! Beyond the heartwarming beauty of each animal, the message that you shared can no longer be overlooked. We can no longer stand by in silence. Now is the time to stand together and be the voice of the voiceless…before we no longer have that option. Thank you for sharing this.

Great story about Rob the Ranger and his videos, Michelle. At our local zoo once, some friends arranged for me to pat a King Cheetah. It was awe-inspiring. I hope we will always love animals and all creation. Thanks for sharing.
