"Where are we going? Who is HE?"

The stranger was short, stocky with a quirky sense of humour and no-nonsense attitude.

"You'll find out soon enough. Trust me." Her fiance' had not been himself for the entire month.

"What's this about?" The sense of foreboding intensified as she struggled to place the stranger.

No response.

Inside the beach cottage, the epiphanous moment coincided with the unveiling of the object propped up against the wall.

Her jaw dropped.

It was the missing bas relief sculpture in bronze and Mr. Oddball was the curator of the local museum.

It all made sense.

So they’re art thieves? Really like the sense of anticipation here M. You had my mind spinning with possibilities and an unexpected ending made this a really good piece.
