DRABBLE CHALLENGE ~ RETURN

by Michelle Wallace on March 13, 2012

The return was momentous, accompanied by pomp and ceremony. She literally waltzed in, larger-than-life, amidst tears and laughter, a lavish feast to rival any that had been hosted within her five year absence.

And it took just a few moments to turn my cosy world around… and make a mockery of my hard-earned position within the confines of Sherborne Manor.

Like a double-edged sword, the return of the prodigal child hailed my return to relative obscurity, as well as affording me a newfound sense of freedom.

 I prepared to play the trump card in a game of deadly proportions.

You can find out more about the weekly drabble challenge, hosted by Aheila on her blog: http://thewriteaholicblog.wordpress.com/

@Shelly ~ you'll be the first one to read it… or have you forgotten? :)

@Ryan ~ realistic… I like that… *winks*

@J.A.Bennett ~ waltzing in, with not a care in the world… but with an "attitude"… thanks.

@k~ there are only 2 specific weekly challenges, though I often fall behind… the rest are random… can get hectic sometimes…

@Sarah ~ aww, this is supposed to be a 100-word challenge so I can't exceed the limit here :)
