The Edge Of Fear…

This challenge is from Write On Edge.

This week, we invited you to compose a text–160 characters–that would either elicit or express fear.

I've chosen the concluding line taken from one of my flash fiction pieces. It weighs in at about 91 characters.

Seems like he's lost it. The glinting object thrust before his eyes shattered the remnants of his rational mind.

Glinting is a word that just sounds like metal against glass to me.  This was really powerful.

Love the active verbs "shatter" and "thrust."

Thanks Nancy. I have learned that active verbs are ‘in-the-moment’ … give a wonderful sense of immediacy.
