I is for Interactive Children’s Book

Are we irrational idiots, insisting on immersing ourselves, in-depth into this intense yet impossible and irksome challenge which is imaginative and innovative. It is definitely an industrious journey which is incredible, insightful, inspirational and indescribable…

Ever wondered what books would say if they had the chance to express themselves/air their views?

Well, you are about to find out!

All illustrations are by the talented Mary-An. Check out her website HERE

Go to WIKIPEDIA for more info…

And now you get to play along! What do YOU think the interactive children's book wants to tell us? Post it in the comment section below. Have fun!

At the end of the challenge, between 02nd and 05th of May, I'm going to announce my favourite "book comment" which will be the one that resonates with me the most!

A REMINDER: the IWSG site will have a corresponding post for each letter/day of the A to Z Challenge so do stop by.

On the Facebook page, a thread will be started for the "letter of the day" and we'd LOVE you to share your A to Z post links on the daily thread – this saves YOU time scrolling through links on the master A to Z sign-up list, especially since people post at different times… some MAY skip letters… dead links etc.

One last thing – don't forget to visit those who stop by your blog!

Good grief, human Michelle, trying to leave a comment on your site is like trying to get into Fort Know.  Name, rank and doggy cereal number.  Arf! and Yikes! 🙂

How are you, princess of Glib?  Interactive children's books want to tell us that parents are supposed to give their kids loads of money and loads of treats!

Also, "IWSG" aka "I Was Seeking Gary" dedication page is still getting bomabarded with this IMMENSELY IDIOTICAL INCESSANT INSISTENT IN YOUR FACE A TO Z CHALLENGE!   And remember, it's FARCEBOOK!  Sheesh!

Pawsitive wishes, Penny at the Alphabark Challenge, 2014.  You might like to put up a co-host posting for the Alphabark Challenge, 2014 when the cult that is the A to Z reaches the letter "N" 🙂  Arf! and I'm outta' here……

This is where you want the hero to go? really?!

Told you – now he got his lunch money stolen. *smug grin*

Er that top does not go with those trousers. No, neither does that. Ah.  Much better. Stick with me kid and you'll go places.

(it seems I like my books aggressive and snarky)

A guy named Tolstoy stopped by the other day and started a novel. You can, too!

    Interactive what?!?

    (I'm so behind the times.)

I think the program grins and says, "Look at me, I'm a camillion!"

IKB's slang- "Where words and penmanship is no longer needed. Just point and click!"

(Oh, I did check out the website…they are stealing ideas from my head I tell ya! lol)

My two-year-old granddaughter loves interactive children's books. At least they get her to sit for more than two seconds, and I definitely appreciate that. 🙂

I get busy if I get across an interactive children's book!

Found you through C. Lee Mckenzie. I love the idea of inteactive books for kids (and adults)!

I used to love the choose-your-own-adventure books, so in my mind the intereactive books are like that. They'll never replace the classic story book though.

The choose-your-own-adventure books are fun. I still have my old set and now my kids are reading them. I can just imagine one of those books saying," You chose what?? Heh, heh, are you going to be sorry!"

Problem with me? Try turning me off and on again.

    Clickety-click and have fun.

I grew up reading 'Pick your own adventure' and 'Where's Waldo?' books!  Oh, memories.

The interactive children's book looks like a computer game. It's not the same as snuggling on a lap at nap time with a book draped across the adult and the child. So, the picture book says to the i-book on the screen, "You're a little rough around the edges." The i-book respons, "Blow it our your….er..er…mmm(fade)" as it's power goes out. Picture book, "Ah, that's better. Now, back to snuggle time!"

I have NO creativity in me today but wanted to let you know I've enjoyed your blog every day this month.

  19. SittieCates on April 12, 2014 at 8:10 am

I found an interactive book once. Can't remember the site. Will tell you once I do.
