The Insecure Writer’s Support Group ~ No#43
Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!
Posting: The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer – aim for a dozen new people each time.
The co-hosts for this month are: Charity Bradford,S.A. Larsen,AJ,Tamara Narayan,Allison Gammons, and Tanya Miranda!Don’t forget to visit them and thank them for co-hosting!

Two of my haikus have been accepted by Haiku Journal and appear online in the current issue, which is no. 38.
My 25-word story, also known as hint fiction, has been accepted by Nailpolish Stories, which is a tiny and colorful literary journal. It will go live on Monday 06 July.
So I’ll just get back to my writing… and submitting to various e-zines/journals as I’ve been busy doing these past few weeks. I’ve also been reading and writing reviews. What have you been up to?
I’ll be visiting blogs and catching up with everybody over the next few days.
For those of you who haven’t seen the gorgeous T-shirt yet…… feast your eyes!!
Congratulations on the acceptances! Glad to have you back.
Thanks Alex!
Wow. What a great month you’ve had!

I’m doing final edits on the companion novel to my debut, and trying not to have a stroke over formatting issues.
IWSG #123 until Alex culls the list again.
Melissa, sounds like you’re on track. Good luck with the formatting. Hope you sort it out.
Yay for the publishing credits!
I’ve been trying to get a handle on the kids, life, home school, the new baby, house maintenance, and getting this darn book finished! Life can get complicated SO fast, right?
I’d choose the baby over the writing – every time! Okay, correction, MOST of the time. 😀
LOL. That’s exactly what’s happening. Good intentions trumped by baby.
Omg, the t-shirts look great!! Congratulations on your haiku and super short! That’s so awesome. 🙂
Thanks Krystal. 🙂

Oooo, hint fiction is a new thing to me.
Hint fiction is wonderful! Quite addictive.
ooo oooo what’s the title of your story? I just popped over there and read they should be names after nail polish colors – now I’m curious. 🙂
My story will be published on Monday 06 July.

I’m giving my novel one more look before sending it to the editor July 10. I’m also doing Camp NaNoWriMo in order to draft a nonfiction book I’ve wanted to do for years, and I’m researching the next novel. It’s a busy month!

Still crazed here and gearing up for the SCBWI Conference in LA. After what had happened to me in Florida, I needed to do something fun just for me.
I’m hoping it will push me up to my next level. I did write three new blurbs for Yolanda Renee’s Mystery trilogy coming out soon, so at least the “Blurb King” is getting published. LOL…
Mr. Blurb King strikes again! YAY!!!!!
Congratulations on your acceptances! Way to go! Keep it up! 🙂
Thanks Chrys! 😀
Success and succinct! Congrats. One of my kid’s favorite books is a collection of haiku featuring Hello Kitty of all things.
Hello Kitty haiku collection? Unusual.
Makes me think: Creativity knows no boundaries…

Congratulations! I’ve heard of Nailpolish Stories. It’s so wonderful you placed a piece with them! If it’s the publication I’m thinking of, they stuck with me and had a neat idea.
It’s a cute journal.
I’m really glad they accepted one of my pieces.
Super cool t-shirt! It may be the final nudge to get me into the ISWG group.
Join us Leslie.

Way to go on the acceptances, Michelle! That’s fantastic news! Yay! I haven’t been writing much — just can’t seem to get into the right frame of mind. Too many distractions. Heading out on vacation next week, so hopefully that will help. 🙂
Writing inspiration does seem to come and go… in bursts… 🙂
Enjoy your vacay!
