It’s All About Gary!

Welcome to the Anti-Blogfest Gary Fest!

AKA Got A Really Yummy Plot? Hurrah!I Love Inksters Plotting & Pantsing, Envisaging Notably Nutty Ideas & Corny Kookiness

AKA Geez! Amazing. Righty-o… Yessiree—- Party time!! How Imaginatively Loyal & Irresistibly Pleasantly Precious. *sniff sniff* Exclusivity Noted. Now I Claim Kleenex *wiping eyes*

AKA Gasping. Awestruck. Rocking! Yikes, such a Posh Hyped Idea. Loopy too. I'm Positively Pumped for Eye-popping entries full of Nifty Nonsensical Ideas. C-r-a-z-y! Kapow! Let the fun begin!

And now that we've dispensed with the formalities, here are 3 blogfests that you don't encourage your friends to sign up for…

1. FiddlesticksLaugh And Scribble Hop more commonly known as the Flash Bloghop. This bloghop is a anti-brevity, marathon styled hop which has no time limit. You laugh and scribble your way through a stream of never-ending meaninglessness!

2. Befuddled Loquacious Unorthodox Regressive Brainstorming hop, more commonly known as the Blurb Bloghop, where writing ideas are confusing, chaotic, trivial and deteriorating – nothing much is going on.

3. Where Is Penny bloghop, more commonly known as the WIP bloghop, in which participants try to figure out where Penny is??? What do you think? Where is Penny? On second thoughts, I probably would sign up for this one… aaargh, my brain is in a knot… that comes from last minute planning…

Gary, I hope this clears up the confusion for you. So now you know the meaning of those strange words like "flash" "blurb" and "WIP" that you've come across when doing your rounds in BloggyVille.

                        HAPPY MONDAY EVERBODY!

More importantly, who is Penny and why should we care. I'm reading a book and am a hundre dpages in, wondering if I even care if all the characters die on the next page.

    • Michelle Wallace on August 12, 2013 at 7:41 pm

Stephen, you mean you haven't heard of the Modest Internet Superstar? Shame on you. LOL.

  2. Trisha on August 12, 2013 at 3:28 am

Love your "no way!" blogfest themes 🙂 I haven't put my post up for this yet, but will get to it this evening when I'm at home 😉

    • Michelle Wallace on August 12, 2013 at 7:42 pm

I'll swing by later… not sure how much later…? Time differences always confuse me. 🙂

      • Trisha on August 13, 2013 at 4:24 am

Mine are up now, but then you knew that as you already visited 😀

        • Trisha on August 13, 2013 at 4:24 am

Hang on, no you didn't – you visited a different post of mine recently. Okay, not confused now. I don't think. 😉

  3. Ida Chiavaro on August 12, 2013 at 8:13 am

Michelle you are genius… though I think I might actually enjoy a WIP bloghop, especially if they were as clever and creative as this post 🙂

    • Michelle Wallace on August 12, 2013 at 7:46 pm

Thank you Ida! I have to confess that I enjoy crazy, whacky styled bloghops… nothing beats a good laugh! 🙂

  4. Shelly on August 12, 2013 at 10:00 am

Happy Monday, Michelle. Gary is quite the character. A real doll and funny, too. I don't normally do blog hops because they totally stress me out. Totally.

    Hugs and chocolate,

    Shelly

    • Michelle Wallace on August 12, 2013 at 7:48 pm

      Now I'm the opposite. Bloghops are relaxing… a de-stressor!

  5. Hilary on August 12, 2013 at 10:05 am

Hi Michelle . well you've enlightened me that's for sure .. and what a distinctive way of the "All About Gary Hop" (AAGH!) … and as for Penny – well I know where she is .. all over the internet – that modest internet star, that she is!

Cheers – fun read .. thanks – Hilary

  6. Alex J. Cavanaugh on August 12, 2013 at 10:23 am

I think some people would sign up for that last one! Penny is an Internet Superstar.

    Thanks for participating, Michelle!

    • Michelle Wallace on August 12, 2013 at 8:00 pm

Yes, I agree. My befuddled brains mixed up the anti-blogfest and pro-blogfest ideas…

  7. A Pleasant House on August 12, 2013 at 3:23 pm

I say Fiddlesticks to Blog Hops, they are befuddling and I have plenty of pennies. But I might join in on one of yours….

    • Michelle Wallace on August 12, 2013 at 8:03 pm

Plenty of pennies, you say? Would that be penny whistles… penny farthings… or another kind of penny? Now I'm thinking of the song Penny Lover… ah, an unexpected walk down memory lane… *hums the tune*

  8. Tina Downey on August 12, 2013 at 3:29 pm

Very creative and clever! Thanks for celebrating with such style!

    Tina @ Life is Good

    • Michelle Wallace on August 12, 2013 at 8:04 pm

Thanks Tina! Style? Mmm… I like the sound of that… 🙂

  9. Sherry Ellis on August 12, 2013 at 3:49 pm

I'd have to say, you win the prize for creativity! Nice job!

    • Michelle Wallace on August 12, 2013 at 8:05 pm

Thanks Sherry. Hope you've settled in your new home.

  10. Gary Philip Pennick on August 12, 2013 at 5:00 pm

Who is Steven Tremp? Asks Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar! What does "AKA" mean? 🙂 Anyhoo, like how you bolden them letters n' stuff to spell out somebody's name. I don't who he is. Is he one of those really important bloggers? I shall have to see if I can find him via the IWSG thingy ma jiggy.

Yes, I wouldn't even contemplate joining such blogfests. Although, Penny is nudging me in regards to number three.

Thanks for explaining those acronyms and what a blurb is. And speaking of "blurb", pardon me, I just *blurbed*!

    Well done, Michelle 🙂

    • Michelle Wallace on August 12, 2013 at 8:08 pm

Thanks Gary. And don't worry about the *blurp* that slipped out. As someone once said, why fart and waste it when you can burp and taste it! (and I can't remember who said it…) 🙂

  11. Jeremy [Retro] on August 12, 2013 at 5:33 pm

i think i am lost, but then how can a goof like me end up in a cool place like this?

The Blog-fest that make me want to say "NO"…
    Jeremy H.

    • Michelle Wallace on August 12, 2013 at 8:09 pm

Welcome Mr. Zombie man. No, you're not lost. You're at the right place. Just sit back and enjoy the entertainment. 🙂

  12. Robyn Engel on August 12, 2013 at 7:10 pm

You've raised the bar with this incredibly playful post. Thanks for a wonderful contribution to this Gary-fest. I much prefer your definition of WIP to its actual use.

    Cheers.

    xoRobyn

    • Michelle Wallace on August 12, 2013 at 8:12 pm

Thank you Robyn. I had a blast! Adults need to tap into that inner child more often, release the playfulness… it lends a fresh perspective…

  13. Hart Johnson on August 12, 2013 at 7:31 pm

Love the acronym angle! I think BLURBs are my favorite… where we just get a little confusing information. Probably people would accuse me of being toward the marathon myself. I try to be brief, but I'm bad at it.

    • Michelle Wallace on August 12, 2013 at 8:16 pm

Naked verbosity… very interesting. Sounds like a great idea for a blogfest, don't you think? Oh, on second thoughts… we won't go there… 🙂

  14. Medeia Sharif on August 12, 2013 at 8:09 pm

I also want to know where Penny is.

    What fun and so clever.

    • Michelle Wallace on August 12, 2013 at 8:21 pm

Some light-hearted fun to start your week off… glad you enjoyed it. 🙂

  15. Manzanita on August 12, 2013 at 8:36 pm

I would not join these either because I only know about one. Penny is out in the garden with the wee ones.

    • Michelle Wallace on August 13, 2013 at 5:57 pm

Penny is such a cutie… and famous too! Thanks for the visit Manzanita! *waving*

  16. Bish Denham on August 12, 2013 at 9:03 pm

So many wonderful ideas for bloghops! I can't decide which ones I like best or which ones to take part in! But Where Is Penny would definitely be at the top of the list. *snickering uncontrolably…)

    • Michelle Wallace on August 13, 2013 at 6:01 pm

Just be very careful which ones you choose to participate in. Some hops will guarantee you more fame than you can handle… *he! he!*

  17. Krystal on August 12, 2013 at 11:39 pm

Funny! I must participate in the Where is Penny blog hop!!

    • Michelle Wallace on August 13, 2013 at 6:03 pm

Penny is all over cyberspace… good luck in finding her… 🙂

  18. Morgan Shamy on August 13, 2013 at 12:29 am

So clever, Michelle! I bet Gary loves his special shout out! And I'm laughing because I'd probably want to do the Penny one too! Fab post. 😀

    • Michelle Wallace on August 13, 2013 at 6:07 pm

Thank you Morgan! 🙂 Come to think about it, the Penny hop is not an anti-blogfest hop… Ha! I mixed up the pro- and anti- ideas… blame it on my befuddles brain!

  19. Sam on August 13, 2013 at 3:14 am

That was clever! Loved the AKA intro:)

    • Michelle Wallace on August 13, 2013 at 6:10 pm

Thanks Sam AKA Tree Of Life Creative Project Engineer AKA One Awesome Lady AKA… okay, that's it, before I go off at a tangent… 🙂

  20. Nancy LaRonda Johnson on August 13, 2013 at 3:32 am

Boy Michelle, you have such a talent at befuddlement and writing sentences from words – it's late, and I can't think of the darned term I'm trying to say here! But it's quite amazing. 🙂

    • Michelle Wallace on August 13, 2013 at 6:14 pm

… and that's a good thing? Yes? No? Maybe… 🙂 I sometimes befuddle my own brain with these befuddling acronymical sentences! Thanks Nancy!

  21. Elizabeth Seckman on August 13, 2013 at 6:00 am

Such a wonderfully red-capped tribute! Finding Waldo was getting old…finding Penny would be so much more fun!

    • Michelle Wallace on August 13, 2013 at 6:19 pm

Red-capped tribute… that sounds so cute. Thanks Elizabeth! Finding Penny – what a great idea for a blogfest… you care to co-host it? 🙂

  22. Misha on August 13, 2013 at 8:17 am

Oh yeah… I wouldn't enter any of those either. 😀

  23. Pat Hatt on August 13, 2013 at 11:35 am

The cat could find the mutt, just find a fresh pile of crap and there she will be, eating away haha

    • Michelle Wallace on August 13, 2013 at 6:21 pm

… delivered in true Pat Hatt style! You never disappoint.

  24. Michael Di Gesu on August 13, 2013 at 1:24 pm

    First, Michelle,

I've gotta ask … "HOW MUCH COFFEE DID YOU DRINK befor writing this? LOL

FUN, SILLY, and OH, SO ENTERTAINING!!!!!

    • Michelle Wallace on August 13, 2013 at 6:23 pm

Surprisingly, not much coffee. I'm desperately trying to cut down. 🙂 Well, if you were entertained, then my job is done. 🙂

  25. susan swiderski on August 13, 2013 at 4:22 pm

Aren't you the clever one? (YES! Why, yes you are!) I love how you used acronyms to add to the fun. However, I'm afraid I might have to skip your blogfests. although that last one does have some promise…

    Great job!

    • Michelle Wallace on August 13, 2013 at 6:25 pm

Why, thank you for the generous comment! Glad you enjoyed the silliness!

  26. C. Lee McKenzie on August 13, 2013 at 6:34 pm

LOL! Great hops to avoid, except for number 3. We'd all have to join in that one.

    • Michelle Wallace on August 14, 2013 at 11:07 am

I so agree! Good luck with the search… Penny is all over the internet!

  27. Carol Kilgore on August 13, 2013 at 8:44 pm

I sort of like the Penny one 🙂

  28. Julie on August 13, 2013 at 11:39 pm

You are quite daring spelling out Gary's full name! Very clever Michelle! Just hope that Penny doesn't read this and make it all about her!

    • Michelle Wallace on August 14, 2013 at 11:09 am

Well, she has to give him a moment to shine! Can't have it all her own way.

  29. Lynda R. Young on August 14, 2013 at 4:09 am

lol at the Befuddled Loquacious Unorthodox Regressive Brainstorming hop. I'd sign up for that… okay, maybe not 😛

    • Michelle Wallace on August 14, 2013 at 11:10 am

That would be quite an interesting bloghop. Don't you think? It may unearth some creativity that we never knew existed… who knows… 🙂

  30. Becky on August 15, 2013 at 2:27 am

Hahahaha, the BLURB would get me, for sure!

  31. Carrie Butler on August 16, 2013 at 8:28 pm

Hah! I love how you incorporated Penny. 😀

  32. Jemi Fraser on August 17, 2013 at 2:20 am
