L is for Living The Afterlife + Lost

L - 2016Welcome to the annual A to Z Challenge.

My theme: showcasing bloggers books, novellas, short story collections, poetry collections and some non-fiction books. The letters of the alphabet will correspond with the book title. I’ll be posting a link to my review of each book. I also have two questions for the author, just to spice things up a little.

Hopefully, visitors to my blog will be able to increase their reading lists and also get ideas for their wish lists.

Living The Afterlife: A Death and Chronos Flash Fiction collection by River Fairchild. Read my review HERE.

Living the Afterlife - A Death and Chronos flash fiction collection

Genre/Category: Satire/humor.

The book character you want to have coffee with is: Death. He’s such a fun, laid back guy who has a childlike wonder and a laissez faire attitude about life. I’d also love to play poker with the whole gang in Lucien’s Bar.

What would you name the autobiography of your life? The autobiography of my life? *snort* The title would be: Starting Over… Again.

Lost by J.H. Moncrieff. This story was on my e-reader and I didn’t realise that it’s not available on Amazon. It’s only available if you sign up for JH’s monthly newsletter (it’s short and painless). JH is an amazing writer. This is an intense and gripping story. The well-developed, three-dimensional characters jump off the page. Really worth reading.

Lost - JH MoncrieffGenre/Category: Psychological suspense.

The book character you want to have coffee with is: Sam from Elizabeth Berg’s Open House. She’s such a smart, fun, wonderful person. I’d love to have her as a friend. She’s extremely non-judgmental, adventurous and open to possibilities.

What would you name the autobiography of your life? The Fighter.

Living The Afterlife is free on Amazon. You can read more of JH’s work here.

Two free books today! Do you read or write satire/humor? What would you name the autobiography of your life? Do you read psychological suspense? Which comedian would you like to have coffee with?

River created such a great character in Death.

Ah ha, I don’t have these two, so I’m in. yolandarenee@hotmail.com

The comedian I’d love to have coffee with is Robin Williams, that is if God will quit laughing long enough to allow it. I think that’s why we’re all in so much trouble, Robin is so entertaining, He’s forgotten us, and the devil has stepped in, his minions have taken over the political arena. We’re doomed. LOL

I love humor and I try to write it myself 🙂 Both books sound great. I’m off to sign up for Holli’s newsletter so I can get a copy of Lost. Would love to win a copy of Living the Afterlife and see what Death has been getting up to lately.

Downloaded Living The Afterlife (and loooove that title 😀 ) — how could I not, when that comment about River’s biography already had me cackling? I’ll head over to Holli’s now 🙂 Thanks for the recommendations, Michelle; you’re doing a great service with your A2Z, not just for the authors and books you’re spotlighting, but for all of us in your audience. Connecting readers to writers is a hefty challenge, and you’re acing it 🙂

I think I would like to have coffee with Stephen Colbert 🙂 I do not read psychological thrillers; would scare me too much for sleep at night 🙂
