P is for Polar Night + The Partners Progeny

P - 2016Welcome to the annual A to Z Challenge.

My theme: showcasing bloggers books, novellas, short story collections, poetry collections and some non-fiction books. The letters of the alphabet will correspond with the book title. I’ll be posting a link to my review of each book. I also have two questions for the author, just to spice things up a little.

Hopefully, visitors to my blog will be able to increase their reading lists and also get ideas for their wish lists.

Polar Night by Julie Flanders. Read my review HERE.

Polar Night

Genre/Category: Paranormal mystery/suspense.

The book character you want to have coffee with is: I would have coffee with Danny as I would be afraid Aleksei would kill me if I had coffee with him.

What would you name the autobiography of your life? “Life Begins at 40.”

The Partners Progeny by Shelly Arkon. Read my review HERE.

The Partners Progeny

Genre/Category: Not romantic and is for the woman reader…

The book character you want to have coffee with is: Mr. Pereene. He’s kind and gentle and seems innocent. Grandfatherly with a quirk.

What would you name the autobiography of your life?  A True Mess.

One lucky winner will receive an e-book/mobi/epub of Polar Night. The second lucky winner will receive an e-book of the Partners Progeny or SecondHand Shoes. Please leave an e-mail address after your comment by Thursday 21st April, if you wish to be entered in the giveaway. Winners will be announced on Friday 22nd April.

Which celebrity would you like to sip coffee/wine (or some other beverage?) with? Who is your favorite ‘grandfatherly figure’ from movies/books/a television series?

I’ve been offline for 11 days so am just catching up. Going to have to make myself a pot of tea and work my way through all your posts! Great blog!

    That Polar Night sounds interesting!

I think it would be fun to have coffee or a glass of wine with Stephen King; though perhaps I might be frightened afterwards!

    thanks for blitzing me!

Hi Michelle – Polar Night sounds a wonderful read – I have it and must read it!

I think I must live in a village called eclectic … and who would look after me – and who would I tumble my thoughts around with … I’ve no idea … strange but true ..

    Cheers Hilary

I’m fascinated by the genre description of The Partner’s Progeny as not romantic and for the woman reader. I’m intrigued by the promise of “no romance.” Would love to win a copy of either book. This is a great series by the way – I love how you’re flagging up different kinds of books and sharing your reviews.

I read Polar Nights and really enjoyed it! Haven’t read the other one, however.

Yes, I think it is always good advice not to have coffee with someone who might kill you. Wise decision.

I really want to drink wine with Emily Blunt. I imagine her as hilarious and a bit off color.

To have coffee with Stephen Kind would be awesome! His wife too, she’s cool!

Loved both of Julie’s books in Alaska! Excellent!

Still need to read Shelly’s book!

Gandalf. If you can call him grandfatherly.

Life can really restart at any age, even 60. Or jump start. It’s a step function, toddles along for sometime and then takes a leap into some other orbit and settles down there till its time for another leap.

All the books you are showcasing sound riveting!
