Tomorrow, I'm making a fresh start, cleaning up my act.
I assure you that this is not another hare-brained scheme, empty promise, blowing of hot air or going off on one of those crazy tangents … though I have been known to indulge in all the afore-mentioned moments …
I will change, start anew, a clean slate, because I have reason to do so. What makes it so different this time round, you ask, eyebrows raised, questioning and sceptical ? And I don't blame you one bit.
For the first time in my life, a helpless, innocent being is totally dependent on me. Need I explain further ?
So tomorrow is D-Day. The day I act on the courage of my convictions. When the exotic Danielle Lefebvre walks past my desk, swinging her hips, her oh-so-clever bon mots dripping from her high society botoxed lips that look ready to burst, and drops her files into my in-tray, then I will drop the bombshell.
At the end of the day, Ms. Lefebvre will remain the gum-chewing, botox blackmailer that she is ; but me, I'll be a proud, hardworking, committed father – sans Ms. L and my baby's mama.
C'est la vie …
