T is for TANGO/TUTTA FORZA

Welcome to Day 20 of the Third Annual A to Z Challenge!

My theme my 26 fiction posts will revolve around something musical – it could be anything, as long as it's musically-related… maybe a song title, an artist/band, musical terminology, musical instruments, words relating to sound/rhythm/movement/dance etc.

MUSICAL ASSOCIATION/CONNECTION. TANGO – in tango dancing circles, the authentic tango is considered to be the one which is closest to that originally danced in Argentina and Uruguay; its rhythm is described as incisive, exciting, provocative…

TUTTA FORZA – a musical term meaning "with complete force"; to play a note, chord or passage with a very heavy accent.

The bait… a look, a glance–discreet, veiled, coquettish, lips pouting, eyes smouldering, sheer stockings, stilleto heels; the possibility of unimaginable treasures.

The delicate web is spun… round and round, weaving, spinning; like a dangerous dance… intricate steps, enticing rhythms, irregular beats; the magnetism, the power, tutta forza, too strong to resist… anticipation of forbidden fruit… succumb… the first taste… adrenaline rush produces a dizzy high… resistance rears its ugly head again… too late… no going back now… sink deeper and deeper… total submission… spiral out of control… the dance of life or death? entrapment or freedom?

I would love to learn how to tango someday…. (:
It's an intense dance and the comparison with the spider web fits very nicely!

I've learned the basics of cha-cha, samba, rumba but not the tango… it's such a forceful and showy type of dance… definitely intense!

    Sorry–different blog look.
The tango is such an ultimate dance of seduction.  After "Evita" I bet the dance studios burgeoned with tango requests!

I agree… it must have re-ignited a flood of interest in the tango!

Oooo, very, very sensual. *waves fan* I wish I could dance. But I always resemble Elaine from Seinfeld. *sigh*

*chuckles* Is this your perception or has somebody told you this?

Wow, you just described the tango to a tee. I found my heart racing to a frenzied beat as I read it. Now you have me missing the show "So You Think You can Dance" which always had some amazing Tangos.

There's also "Dancing With The Stars" which is on at the moment. I used to watch the reality dancing shows in my spare time… loved tp feast my eyes on the amazing costumes as well… the ladies wear some gorgeous, sparkling beaded creations!
