    I like your definition!

    I say it's Zues' grandma.

    • Michelle Wallace on May 1, 2013 at 7:43 am

Very cute answer. So tell me, is grandma Zeus also a thunderbolter…?

  2. Mina B. on April 30, 2013 at 2:39 pm

That's the best definition by far! 🙂

Zeugma: A type of booty shaking dance that firms tha tush.

Used in a sentence: "Damn, woman, those zeugma classes you take'n are making yo ass fine."

    LOL!  Loved your theme, Michelle!

    • Michelle Wallace on May 1, 2013 at 7:44 am

Hey Mina, I wanna shake my tush to the Zeugma beat… it could do with some firming… 🙂

  3. Carol Kilgore on April 30, 2013 at 3:00 pm

Zeugma is the commercial building code for the city of Athens, Greece.

    • Michelle Wallace on May 1, 2013 at 7:46 am

Carol, have you been dabbling in Greek architecture? And all this time I imagined you quietly under your Tiki hut, sipping cocktails…

Oooh your plan sounds intriguing, Michelle! Sorry I didn't get to catch up much throughout the A to Z Challenge, but I shall be scouring your archive for Flash Fiction tips, as I'm hoping to submit a 500 piece to a publication in the near future!

    • Michelle Wallace on May 1, 2013 at 7:49 am

Hey Catherine, I hope you find something useful in the archives… I don't think that I've posted many flash fic tips/guidelines… 🙂 Actually, I can't remember posting any, at all… well, I can't remember too much of anything at this moment… I'm afflicted with "Zeugma"…

  5. Shelly on April 30, 2013 at 3:33 pm

    I'll be watching.

    Hugs and chocolate,

Well, I'd like to agree with you on at least one definition, Michelle, but now's not the time. This word must be defined correctly if I'm to get any rest after this AtoZ Challenge. ZEUGMA is actually a acronym for an environmental organization. It stands for Zero Energy Used Goal, Marvelous Air

What a great challenge, heh? Congrats on finishing. I've loved your posts AtoZ

Ha!  I don't think I can top post traumatic A-Z disorder.  Congrats on finishing! Now go take a nap.

The ideas that come to you in the middle of the night, but you're too full of zeugma to get up and write them down!

    • Michelle Wallace on May 1, 2013 at 7:53 am

*chuckles* Sounds like you've had lots of Zeugma-moments!

  10. Barbara White Daille on April 30, 2013 at 11:05 pm

You know, I think I'm going with your definition for this one.  It's perfect.

So are your new lyrics to the song.

Congrats on finishing up your A to Z!

Thanks Barbara. Glad you like the Zippidee doo-dah remix…

Zuegma! Zuegma! We finished. I'm thinking zuegma sort of sounds like a steam-powered ooga horn. I know what you mean about the post-traumatic stress of finishing the challenge. And ISWG is tomorrow, too, so I was like, screwing up my scheduled post for that. I need a break, but I did figure out the tab "pages" thing, so I'll be posting my A-Z story all in one spot by the weekend, for sure. You made it through April!!! Yay.

    • Michelle Wallace on May 1, 2013 at 7:56 am

Yes, we made it! In one piece! I'll be stopping by at some stage, to check out your story in its entirety. 🙂

  12. Elise Fallson on May 1, 2013 at 1:40 am

LOL! Your definition is the best! And YEAH another A-Z finished. You did an awesome job.  Now get some rest, you deserve it. (:

    • Michelle Wallace on May 1, 2013 at 7:59 am

Another A to Z has come and gone… amazing how time does fly… (as cliched as it sounds). Did you say rest? Not for too long, because then the body and mind get too relaxed and lazy…

  13. Nancy LaRonda Johnson on May 1, 2013 at 3:56 am

Classic definition! I think you hit the nail on the head. I'm sure I'm suffering from that right there with you.

But Zeugma is also the name of the first matriarchal domesticated dog. She set the standard of what it means to be man's best friend, which has succesfully been passed down for thousands of generations. You'd be surprised to know that the first person to be honored by such a friendship was a woman, not a man.

Thanks, Michelle for your wonderfully fun theme in this challenge. It will truly be something that I'll miss!

    • Michelle Wallace on May 1, 2013 at 8:00 am

Nancy, you've done a wonderful job with the definitions. Thank you! 🙂

  14. Julie on May 1, 2013 at 5:22 am

Wasn't that a song from The Lion King? You've really outdone yourself with the challenge! You were also a marvelous minion. Will life ever be the same for you, or will you continue to speak Michlish?!

    • Michelle Wallace on May 1, 2013 at 8:04 am

It's a classic Disney tune from Song Of The South. Thanks for playing along with my whacky definitions, Julie!  Michlish? Ha! I love it! 🙂

  15. TAMMY THERIAULT on May 1, 2013 at 5:36 am

    shake and flaunt it!!! oh…yeahhhh!!!

    • Michelle Wallace on May 1, 2013 at 8:06 am

Shake it… shake it… shake it… Oh yeah. *clicks fingers* *taps feet* Feel the beat… the challenge is over!

  16. Nina Gray on May 1, 2013 at 6:42 am

ha ha ha – I had good fun visitng you !!

  17. Medeia Sharif on May 1, 2013 at 6:55 am

I agree with your definition and I'm going to catch up on sleep this weekend.

    • Michelle Wallace on May 1, 2013 at 8:07 am

Happy napping, Medeia. Thanks for playing along with my crazy definitions…

  18. Tracy on May 1, 2013 at 1:34 pm

How cute is that? Sadly enough though, I think I may be suffering from it lol!  Congratulations on completing the challenge. 🙂

    • Michelle Wallace on May 2, 2013 at 7:25 am

I think this condition is rife at the moment… 🙂
