This year my A to Z theme is all about
**********drum roll**********
FUN WITH WORDS
I'm talking about those obscure, unpronounceable, odd-sounding words that we don't encounter in our day-to-day reading and writing. I'm still wracking my brains for a suitable title for this word challenge. My theme is interactive, since I'm inviting you to take part in the fun and games and post your thoughts in the comment section.
But that's not all!
I'll be posting a special greeting at the beginning of each post. It's what I call an "alliterative-styled alphabetical greeting". Some greetings may be long, some may be short. I'm not sure if it's going to work or not. I'm also not sure if it will make any sense. It's not really meant to. Some of it may turn out to be a string of mumbo-jumbo, incoherent rambling… we'll see. Bottom line is – it's all about fun! And the posts will be super-short! It should take you about a minute to read through!
So there you have it! When I have some time tomorrow, I'll be off to check out the other participants!
You are always so creative Michelle. Can't wait for April!
🙂 I'm really looking forward to your -OLOGY posts!
That sounds like a lot of fun, and can't wait to see what you come up with. And I like the short idea, especially since we're trying to hit so many. Good luck!
Hi from Nagzilla bloghopping A to Z
Short, sweet and to the point! That's the way to go. There will be more time to get around to other blogs. Thanks for popping in. I'll check out your post shortly.
Sounds like a very fun theme. April is almost here… gah!
April is 10 days away!! Can you believe it?
I like your theme. I enjoy odd words.
I'll be checking out your posts to find some new books to read!
I'll have the dictionary at the ready then. Odd words are not my strong suit but I love to learn new things.
… and I'll become "dragon-wise" from your posts! 🙂
Makes sense to me!!
And you were just on my mind. You'll find out why next month.
Oooh Alex, please give me a small idea…? Just a teensy-weensy one? No? Okay, I'll have to wait… 🙂
And I bet every single word will be new to me.
Maybe not! You never know… you'll have to check in to find out… 🙂
Kudos, Dude – I dig fun with words, too. Especially puns. I heart me some puns. 🙂
I LOVE puns! 🙂 Your theme has generated lots of interest already… exciting!
Sounds super fun! I'll be looking forward to it 🙂
Hey Guilie! Hope you're well! 🙂 I'll be by your place shortly…
You know I love odd words – I might just have to borrow some of them for my tweet tales once my Rare Words book runs out of options. 🙂 And I can't wait to see what you have in store for these alliterative-styled alphabetical greetings. Best of luck with it!
Jocelyn, you are the queen of odd words! 🙂 I could learn from you…
This should be interesting! Looking forward to it. 🙂
Thanks DL! 🙂
This is really going to appeal to my inner word nerd. Good luck with the challenge, and thanks for the reminder to keep the posts short.
Short and to the point. Less stress that way. Chance to get around and visit more bloggers too! 🙂
Fun with words sounds like a winner. I am now following at Networked blogs.
Thanks for popping in and for following my blog! I'll swing by your place when I get a chance. 🙂
Great Challenge theme. It will be fun for you to learn and write and educational, and I'm sure coming from you, entertaining to read. Can't wait!
Thanks Kim. I'm looking forward to the challenge!
Too cool, and sounds like such fun. I love learning new words and used to play the word games in Reader's Digest each month. Vocabulary is so important!
Looking forward to your posts!
The word game is going to be lots of fun! And yes, it's great to learn new words and extend ones vocabulary. Thanks Yolanda!
Fun! Cheerst for A to Z!
Thank you!
That sounds like a really cool plan. I can't wait to see your posts in April. My plan was to do flash fiction, but I've only done A so far and I'm worried I'm not going to make it, but we shall see!
I did themed flash fiction last year! It was mentally stimulating… a great exercise. 🙂
I bet your FUN WITH WORDS will be awesome! Can't wait to read your posts.. 🙂
It's going to be lots of fun… with a TWIST! 🙂
Great theme Michelle! I don't know why I didn't see this sooner. I could've sworn that I left a comment on your top ten movie list, but I must have forgotten. Maybe my theme should be about losing it!
Hahahaha! Thanks for the early morning laugh, Julie! Don't woryy, we all have those "moments" when we are so certain about something, only to discover otherwise… 🙂
Sounds good! I love words! If I learn just one, it's totally worth it to me. Good luck!
It's fun with words + a twist 🙂 You will learn lots of odd definitions… *wicked grin*
