Blogfest Day 16 ~ P is for Pet Peeves

These are some of the day to day things that really annoy me :

~~ greasy fingerprints on the fridge door/handle of the kettle/TV remote (so obvious cause it's black)/even the computer keys . Simple solution – eat first … well before pursuing any other activities like googling or watching TV – just DON'T decide to do all above-mentioned activities at the same time !!

~~ lids/covers not replaced on bottles/tubes/containers etc or partially-screwed or partially-clipped on . Most annoying ! *grits teeth*

~~ telemarketers phoning with special offers/upgrades on accounts/insurance policies/ gym contracts etc. But just phone them with a query – the original consultant you dealt with has long-since left the company . And dare you fall behind with one payment , that's it – they don't care – they want their money !

~~ yuppies/buppies . You know the upwardly mobile – high earning – instant gratification seeking – social status seeking – Johnny come yesterdays – who feel that the world owes them ? But haven't worked , I mean REALLY WORKED HARD for even one full year in their entire lives ? Want everything ASAP . As in yesterday . Not later . Over-inflated sense of entitlement ? And arrogance ? Need I say more ?

~~ parents who leave their kids to run wildly in public places . Remember , psychology is for grad students , not for 7-year-old raucous brats ! Quit over-reasoning with them – it's obviously NOT WORKING . Tell them WHAT IS , WHAT WAS and WHAT WILL BE ! A good , solid spank is not abuse .

~~ hangars in the wardrobe , with clothes half-off/tangled … aaargh !

This is really funny . I read it a while back and thought i'd share it with you . From a dog's perspective , a few peeves that these canines have about the human species :

~~ yelling at me for barking – I'm a friggin' dog – that's what we do !!

~~ getting upset when I smell the crotches of your guests – sorry , but I haven't quite mastered that handshake thing yet …

~~ blaming your flatulence/bad smells on me – not funny … not funny at all !!

Mish, we think so much alike — scary. You have a great sense of humor. I'm visiting for the A-Z Challenge. Great blog.

Hey MM ~~ Thanks for the visit . You will be surprised to know that my so-called sense of humour is not evident during a conversation . Amazingly , it only reveals itself when I write . I’m gonna swing by your blog shortly . 🙂

Telemarketers drive me insane. I know they are just doing a job but I wish the damn job was never invented. I now have my house phone unplugged. The people who know me will contact me on my mobile.

What is also annoying , is that for some companies , it’s not just a one-off call . They phone back time and time again , to see whether you’ve changed your mind , or to give you an update on the product ! *grits teeth*

I totally agree on the greasy fingerprints and partly screwed on lids. I might add  cabinet doors and drawers that are open for no reason.

Oh , absolutely right ! And it’s a waste of time even complaining ~ it happens again the very next day …. 🙂

I hate to be waved thru a four-way stop. If I got there first-I want to go first, same with last. This is the order of things. Don't wave me thru, especially when it's my turn. That's just rude.

You had me giggling there … just picturing the other motorist waving his hands as if to say , go on , it’s allright … duh dude ? I mean , did you buy your licence ?

    Hey Mish!
This cracked me up, lol. I completely agree about the parents who try to psych their kids into good behavior when all is really needed is a good ol' fashion, errm, ***-wuppin'.  Drives me bonkers, and makes the cereal isles of most grocery store a recurring nightmare!

Back in the day , we were recipients of a good , old-fashioned smack (and more than that on some occasions) , and look how we turned out ? Not too bad at all ! The problem is that kids of today know too much about their “rights” , but refuse to recognise that these rights come with responsibilities … I’m glad you had a good laugh ! 🙂
