DRABBLE CHALLENGE ~ RETURN
The return was momentous, accompanied by pomp and ceremony. She literally waltzed in, larger-than-life, amidst tears and laughter, a lavish feast to rival any that had been hosted within her five year absence.
And it took just a few moments to turn my cosy world around… and make a mockery of my hard-earned position within the confines of Sherborne Manor.
Like a double-edged sword, the return of the prodigal child hailed my return to relative obscurity, as well as affording me a newfound sense of freedom.
I prepared to play the trump card in a game of deadly proportions.
You can find out more about the weekly drabble challenge, hosted by Aheila on her blog: http://thewriteaholicblog.wordpress.com/
When is your book coming out?
Certainly a mix of emotion and perspective! Realistic. Well done, M!
I love the image of her waltzing in. Great job!
Peeking in on your blog, it's fun to read… and there are so many challenges you get involved in, how ever do you keep up???
This is a peek back from the A-Z challenge.
Oh, what happens next? 🙂
@Shelly ~ you'll be the first one to read it… or have you forgotten? 🙂
@Ryan ~ realistic… I like that… *winks*
@J.A.Bennett ~ waltzing in, with not a care in the world… but with an "attitude"… thanks.
@k~ there are only 2 specific weekly challenges, though I often fall behind… the rest are random… can get hectic sometimes…
@Sarah ~ aww, this is supposed to be a 100-word challenge so I can't exceed the limit here 🙂
