DRABBLE CHALLENGE ~ SLOW
"How's the legs today?" Same old question, different day.
"As usual…," came the non-committal response. There was no need to divulge any extra information.
After the ritual examination, the physiotherapist left the room.
He turned his back on the remaining occupant.
"I'll be in the kitchen if you need anything."
"Please shut the door on your way out!"
A silent click signalled her departure.
He positioned his hands, his face a mixture of concentration and pain…
It was slow… but the limb moved… a definitive jerk… ever-so-slightly… then it was still again…
A knowing gleam replaced the mixed expression.

I got the feeling he wanted to practice in secret in case he failed.
You have the first part right 🙂 … but the second part wrong 🙁 He has been making progress, but doesn't want anyone to know about it… not yet…
