DRABBLE CHALLENGE ~ TRACK

She was from the wrong side of the track. The side that sported dusty, pot-holed, rutted roads, strewn with an assortment of papers, broken bottles, stones and other debris; where mongrels scavenged for left-over scraps from a nearby heap of dirt…  far removed from the green, freshly-mowed, sprinkler-studded, well-manicured lawns of suburban existence.

You know the side where street smarts is the order of the day and the concept of keeping fit is a compulsory course, learned the hard way in life's lesson of survival, instead of via a buy-one-get-one-free gym membership deal.

Her presence would cause havoc… that was a given!

I’ve always enjoyed stories in which the main character or secondary characters are those from the “wrong side of the tracks.” They always have the best backstories. 🙂 Nice work, M! You left me wondering what she’s gonna do to cause havoc — probably not what they expect. 😉

She's from the other side of the fence… not up to their expectations… 🙂

I think I must write this one to the "bitter end"… 🙂 (and don't even ask what I mean by that…)
