I is for I Am…

Welcome to your daily dose of inspiration:
In Darkness Be Light.

Since social media and news in recent times has been filled with so much hate and negativity, these simple reminders aim at promoting positivity and lightening up your day.

I am only one; but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; I will not refuse to do something I can do.   Helen Keller

Would you like to be a part of spreading positivity? Check out the We Are The World Blogfest, which aims at promoting positive news. Here’s the shortened version:

  • Keep your post to below 500 words, as much as possible.
  • All we ask is you link to a human news story on your blog on the last Friday of each month, one that shows love, humanity, and brotherhood. Something like this news, about a man who only fosters terminally ill children.
  • Join us on the last Friday of each month in sharing news.

If each individual constantly shares the positive, we can slowly shift the tide. Others will follow. We need to make a personal effort to not be part of the problem. As each and every one of us takes personal responsibility for what we put out into the world, we become a force for positive change across the board. There’s no need for us to be another voice for the bleakness of society. What we need to do is be a voice for the positive. What are your thoughts?

Great thinking, Michelle. A smile or positive word can be just as contagious as a negative approach, so we should all make an effort to be more positive.

I agree – if we all tried to spread positivity and do what we can, I think the world would be a much nicer place

What a wonderful idea. I try very hard to stay positive, and admit that sometimes I fail. Still, the effort matters.

Helen Keller’s words are inspirational. Trying to be a positive voice both inside my head and outside it.

If we seek for joy we will find it. If we seek for the sacred in the mundane we will find it. If we are kind and compassionate towards each other the vibrations will be strong and healthy ❤️

I have my grumpy side, especially when something goes wrong. I have been making an effort to not let that carry over into how I treat others. I do my best to remain positive on Social Media as well. I hope my efforts will be like a ripple effect in the water, spreading from me to others. ~ fellow #WATWB member

If I stop and think about what I want to say before I say what I am feeling, emotions play less of a part in the thoughts I express. When comments are made with a desire for compromise, then positive results will more often follow. Positive attitudes beget more of the same.
