The Insecure Writer’s Support Group ~ No#29

Welcome to the IWSG post. This is a place where writers can come together and express doubts/concerns and offer assistance/guidance… the ultimate writers' support structure. For more info go HERE.

Today the awesome co-hosts are Mark Koopmans, Joylene Nowell Butler, Elsie, and Lisa Buie-Collard!

At the moment, I'm busy with editing of my short pieces. I'm not going into too much detail here.

All I want to say is that I'm working with the most AMAZING creative editor! He is breathing LIFE into my pieces…

With regards to flow, how to economize your words and create an atmosphere, he is the master craftsman.

Oh, and we all know him as the Blurb King! Check out his services when you have a moment…

                                            I RECOMMEND...

Now I'm off to visit a few IWSG'ers!

    • Michelle Wallace on May 8, 2014 at 12:50 pm

Thanks Celine! It's opened my eyes… and made a huge difference in how I perceive my work… it's so true that every writer needs another pair of eyes… or two or three pairs of eyes… 🙂

  17. LD Masterson on May 8, 2014 at 10:21 am

I knew Michael for his blurbs and intros. Didn't realize he was an editor, too. Very Cool.

  18. Doreen McGettigan on May 8, 2014 at 12:34 pm

I do believe finding and keeping a good editor is the magic bean for us writers.
    Good luck!

  19. Michael Di Gesu on May 8, 2014 at 12:54 pm

    Hey, Michelle,

So thrilled you're happy with the edit! I'll be jumping back into them in a few, I just wanted to stop by and say hi….

WOW. I'm very honored to be working with you on your shorts and I'm so glad you are enjoying this process. It does get a bit hairy at times, but your finished project will be amazing…

Thanks for your kind words… I am humbled by them.

    • Michelle Wallace on May 9, 2014 at 12:36 pm

Thank you Michael. It's been an amazing experience thus far…… 🙂

  20. Shelly on May 8, 2014 at 1:59 pm

    Hi, Micelle:

If a guy could be a real doll. Michael is just that.

    hugs and chocolate!

  21. Stephanie Faris on May 8, 2014 at 5:39 pm

Congratulations on your collaboration! How exciting. I'm sure together you'll create something phenomenal. I learned with my first book that no book is created alone…it takes a lot of work from some talented minds!

    • Michelle Wallace on May 9, 2014 at 12:39 pm

It's definitely a pooling of talents! The realisation that it cannot be done alone really sinks in as the project moves along…

  22. ChemistKen on May 8, 2014 at 7:39 pm

Glad things are working out for you at the moment.  Savor them, because you never know what's going to come next as a writer.

    • Michelle Wallace on May 9, 2014 at 12:40 pm

My thoughts, exactly! You never know what's waiting around the next corner…

All good with you, my good friend.  And to have Michael work with you on your blurb is most excellent news.

  30. Elsie on May 9, 2014 at 9:06 pm

Ugh, Michelle, the part I dread the most, editing.  I'm glad you're getting it done and with such awesome help.  That must make it so much easier!  Good for you!

    • Michelle Wallace on May 10, 2014 at 2:38 pm

I don't know how I feel about editing… yet. By the end of this project, I will know. (I suspect that it's not one of my stronger points…)

  31. Southpaw on May 11, 2014 at 11:25 pm
