The Insecure Writer’s Support Group ~ No#42
Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!
Posting: The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer – aim for a dozen new people each time.
The co-hosts for this month are: M. Pax, Tracy Jo, Patricia Lynne, Rachna Chhabria, Feather Stone, and Randi Lee! Don’t forget to visit them and thank them for co-hosting!
Our Twitter hashtag is #IWSG
Here’s a jumble of recent reading and writerly thinggies…
~ Still recovering from the A to Z Challenge. Almost there.
~ Fallen off the ‘write-a-haiku-a-day’ bandwagon – for the hundredth time. Nothing new. So I’ll just pick myself up, dust myself off, and continue…
~ I submitted to a few e-zines. Received one rejection and one acceptance… *happy dance*… more info later…
~ Still reading and posting reviews to Goodreads and Amazon.
~ Plodding along with the writing, so my blogging hiatus will continue for a short while. You’ll still catch me on Facebook/Twitter/G+ and I WILL pop in and visit blogs from time to time.
(If I haven’t visited your blog, don’t think that I’ve forgotten about you. I will visit some blogs later this evening and also over the next few days.)
I leave you with a quote:”The contract between the author and the reader is a game. And the game…is one of the greatest inventions of Western civilization: the game of telling stories, inventing characters, and creating the imaginary paradise of the individual, from whence no one can be expelled because, in a novel, no one owns truth and everyone has the right to be heard and understood.”
Carlos Fuentes
SO WRITE ON IWSG PEEPS!
Congratulations on the acceptance!
Hi Michelle – yes write on .. and well done on that acceptance. I too am taking a break .. but mine is somewhat longer – still necessary sometimes and the first I’ve done.
Good luck with it all – you’ve got lots of other things going on too .. cheers and see you for one of those contracts again soon … when I shall return and hope to still have that right to be heard and understood.
Cheers Hilary

Congratulations on getting an acceptance. Whoop! Whoop! I hope your break is going well. Don’t worry about falling of the writing wagon. It’s just one of those things. Wishing you well.
I’ll be posting my ISWG post tomorrow. At work. Haircut sale. Grueling.
Hi Michelle. Congrats on the acceptance in the e-zine. Those acceptances make our day, don’t they?
Denise 🙂

Love the quote. Of course, it’s a game. A fun game. Just a bit exhausting sometimes. Happy IWSG, Michelle!
Congrats on the acceptance! Wonderful!
I have taken a break, too. I’m starting to get back into the swing of things. Yours is the first blog I’ve commented on in a few weeks! Time for me to get back to work!
Hey Michelle!
Yay and lucky you, I’m here with one of my highly collectable comments that cause bidding wars on E-bay! 🙂
Happy dance to the acceptance. Rejections, what are those?
A to Z, may the idiotic thing rest in peace.
IWSG aka “I Was Seeking Gary”, peeps. Gosh, thank you. Then I woke up.
*Haiku!* somebody sneeze?
Gary 🙂
Congratulations on the acceptance! Awesome news!
Congrats on submitting and the acceptance! A to Z wore me out, too. Summer has begun, kids home, but busy with a million things. We are constantly running out of food to keep those teenagers’ bellies full! Love their noisy, hungry messiness though!
Cheers!
Mary
Big congrats on the acceptance! Look forward to hearing more.
Congratulations on your acceptance! That’s always a great feeling!
YAY for the acceptance! best feeling 🙂

Congratulations on the acceptance– looking forward to read it! I hope you come off your blog hiatus soon. A to Z used to burn me out earlier, and I didn’t realize how much till I completely bowed out of it this year!
Congratulations on your acceptance! And, hey, on your rejection, too. It means you’re working.
Yay on the acceptance. Have a productive hiatus.
Whoop! on that acceptance…congrats Michelle! Look forward to reading it. Keep on with the writing, best wishes.
I can’t believe I didn’t make it here two weeks ago! Okay, maybe I can. Blogging sometimes takes a back seat to life, eh?
I’m so excited about your acceptance! Tell us more, please!
Congrats on the progress and good news! Hope you are enjoying the hiatus. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog for Alex’s post. Have a great weekend!
Hi Michelle! I’ve been shamefully absent, but I’m determined to get back in the blogging saddle. Congrats on your e-zing score. Whoo-hoo. Thumbs up on the quote.
Congratulations on your acceptance! Don’t forget to print off a copy of your e-article once it goes on line. I’ve had a couple things published and never even thought about them not being archived….
