J is for JUSSOLI

Jumpin' Jehosophat! This joyous journey has produced some jewels and a certain je ne sai quoi. Jeepers Creepers! I'm just jabbering in a jolly jumble of words that mean jack! But I'm still jovial and jubilant on J-Day so join in the jollifications!

That fruit looks so yummy I wish I could reach through the screen and eat it. 😀

    That's a good one.

    Here's mine:

Jussoli:  A highly potent perfume made from passion fruit.  The scent is said to drive the opposite sex mad with desire. .

Used in a sentence.  "Careful with that.  All you need is one drop of Jussoli and men will fight to warm your bed."

I also thought of dessert, or a fruity drink infused with rum.

    • Michelle Wallace on April 13, 2013 at 11:19 am

Maybe a rum-based dessert? Captain Morgan in all his tasty glory? Mmmm…

Jussoli: Squishy pasta marketed as "a party in your mouth". Eliminates the need for extra sauce.

Do you mean a ready made packet version? Packet-pasta-packs-a-punch!

  5. Alex J. Cavanaugh on April 11, 2013 at 6:29 pm

    A liquid version of muesli.

    • Michelle Wallace on April 13, 2013 at 11:24 am

Depending on which brand you like, muesli can be quite dry, so I like your idea…

    It sounds like a pasta.

  7. Elise Fallson on April 11, 2013 at 10:17 pm

I was going to say somehting similar to Mary. To me this sounds like a health nut, organic fruit drink.

Strange… Before reading the description or the comments, i immediately though Jussoli should be something juicy or pasta. Seems I'm not the only one!

A cross between rigitoni and egg noodles!  🙂

    • Michelle Wallace on April 13, 2013 at 11:32 am

Would that be Italian or Chinese based cuisine? Maybe a combo? Italian + Chinese = ITALICHINESIAN… a new culinary experience… I can just see it!

    That made me go, "mmmmm."

It took a bit of searching to find a second meaning for this one. But I did. Jussoli is also used to express that memorable, emotional experience you get at a particular moment in a book or movie.

    • Michelle Wallace on April 13, 2013 at 11:33 am

Like an expletive? Instead of saying OMG, you say Jussoli!

  11. Nick Wilford on April 12, 2013 at 6:41 am

You know when you cook meat in its own juice (dans son jus)? Well, jussoli is a prepackaged version of that juice that can be used in many other cooking endeavours.

    • Michelle Wallace on April 13, 2013 at 11:38 am

A housewife's dream come true. Jazz up your jejune dishes with juicy jussoli!

  12. Julie on April 12, 2013 at 8:16 am

The town drunk ordered a jussoli too many that even the bartender had no idea what he was talking about.

    • Michelle Wallace on April 13, 2013 at 11:41 am

Sounds like a tequila-based shooter… I've heard those drinks reduce the imbiber to that condition…

    Some great J words,Melissa.

jussoli is a pasta…. Not unlike fusilli . The difference is that it'much longer. Think of corkscrew spaghetti and you'll get the picture.

    • Michelle Wallace on April 13, 2013 at 11:42 am

The pasta-definition seems quite popular… thanks for popping in Michael!

Jussoli is a phonetic spelling of Just So Lay____. You're supposed to fill in the blank. Like, "Phoebe, just so lay that pistol down, girl."

  15. Michelle Wallace on April 13, 2013 at 11:44 am

I really need to brush up on my phonetics…thanks for the quick lesson…
