My theme – my 26 fiction posts will revolve around something musical – it could be anything, as long as it's musically-related… maybe a song title, an artist/band, musical terminology, musical instruments, words relating to sound/rhythm/movement/dance etc.
MUSICAL ASSOCIATION/CONNECTION. NOCTURNE – is usually a musical composition that is inspired by, or evocative of, the night.
She slipped into the alley. A solitary figure, with an ethereal, other-worldly quality, as she made her way, hesitant and cautious, enveloped by a cloak of darkness which preserved her anonymity.
Nightshade. That was her “editorial title”. The name that the public had deemed necessary to bestow upon her.
Nightshade. She was as fleeting and elusive as an alpha-stage dream within a sleep cycle. Now you see her, now you don’t.
Nightshade. She was designed for the night and marched to the tune of her own design.
Nightshade. Influenced by music of the night… she closed her eyes and surrendered to her darkest dreams… as the music caressed her… softly, deftly…
And as the last remnants of night disappeared, the nocturne grew fainter and fainter, the phantom slipped away, out of sight back into her nether world…
