We are living in the 21st century . This means that there is a cure for every ailment . A source within the medical fraternity announced that the pharmeceutical companies are constantly involved in researching a cure for the various disorders/diseases that prevail .
The Repetitive Remote Disorder is a devastating disease which afflicts mostly males aged 15 to 45 and is characterised by rapid channel surfing of television using a remote-control device . This near-subliminal exposure can cause long-term damage to the retina and visual-recognition system , leaving victims in a permanent zombie-like state , where they can no longer recognise anything other than brand logos or sports teams .
And what happens when the remote batteries die ? Well , that is an entirely different disorder which requires a separate post ! Don't even go there …
the couch potato syndrome. Technology may have great benefits, but like everything else, it has its dark side. I love watching TV shows, but I always put other activities above sitting on a couch. Sometimes a whole month passes where I haven't watched a single show! I think it's always good to ignore the boob tube every now and then.
