T is for There Are No Nations…

Welcome to your daily dose of inspiration:
In Darkness Be Light.

Since social media and news in recent times has been filled with so much hate and negativity, these simple reminders aim at promoting positivity and lightening up your day.

There are no nations! There is only humanity. And if we don’t come to understand that right soon, there will be no nations, because there will be no humanity.   Isaac Asimov

Would you like to be a part of spreading positivity? Check out the We Are The World Blogfest, which aims at promoting positive news. Here’s the shortened version:

  • Keep your post to below 500 words, as much as possible.
  • All we ask is you link to a human news story on your blog on the last Friday of each month, one that shows love, humanity, and brotherhood. Something like this news, about a man who only fosters terminally ill children.
  • Join us on the last Friday of each month in sharing news.

If nations cannot find a way to work together, so that we can solve the problems that face humanity, can humanity survive?

Hi Michelle – gosh what a great quote … and how right he is – we really do need to buck ourselves up and get humanity back on track to be loving, kind, compassionate, caring and thoughtful – we can all do a little more … cheers Hilary

For some reason, this puts me in mind of the “Star Trek” series of shows and movies. One movie shows how close Earth was to being wiped out because of just these types of things. If no intervening force came along and basically said look what you are doing take a real hard look, do you think we will be able to overcome our current path? It is possible if we each make an effort. After all, we are the world. ~ fellow #WATWB member.

Isaac totally nailed it, but no-one seems to be listening.

Who defines nations…we, the mere mortals! And how limited is our level of acceptance, tolerance, now a days. We are limiting our humanity by the boundaries of sick minds. How long will it really take for the world to come out of this comatose thinking??
    Very thought provocative post!

We’re all connected in our humanity. How lovely if we could see this and be united in love and compassion, kindness and co-operation …
