The 2016 A to Z Challenge Theme Reveal

atoz-theme-reveal-2016

Welcome to the 2016 A to Z Challenge Theme Reveal!

                                *****DRUM ROLL*****

——–presenting my theme for the 2016 challenge———-

                             *****extended drum roll*****

——a theme to showcase my bloggy buddies——

THE A TO Z OF BOOKS & BOOK REVIEWS!

book reviewI’ll showcase one or two (sometimes three) authors every day and post a link to my reviews.

Plus there are two “bookish” questions that I’ve asked the authors, just to spice it up a little.

There will be plenty of giveaways!!!

Authors have donated e-books, paperback copies…there’s even an opportunity for a lucky commenter to win an entire series that is yet-to-be-written (the first book of this series is only available)

Of course commenters get to have some fun and “play along” in the comment section!

So if you’re looking to support authors, and looking for books to read, then check out my blog in April!

What an awesome theme, Michelle. I have carved out reading time for the first time in decades. Your giveaways can play right into that.

Whoop! Neat theme! I’m going to be here for your posts. Love books, their feel and smell and contents, well most of them. Not so much a fan of my kindle, but I am seriously working on that 🙂

  3. Yolanda Renee on March 21, 2016 at 2:25 pm

Such a great idea! I’ve had several emails telling me how much they love my new book, but no reviews posted on Amazon. Gosh that’s tough, so this is a wonderful idea, now to get it out to the readers. So I suggest you put it in a book format and publish on Amazon, please! 🙂

  4. L. Diane Wolfe on March 21, 2016 at 2:58 pm

Spreading the word about some great books is a wonderful idea.

  5. Mary Aalgaard on March 21, 2016 at 3:05 pm

Very nice. Looking forward to meeting more of your writerly friends. I am not participating in the Great Theme Reveal, but I am participating in the A to Z Challenge, with a lame theme, simply to post for every letter with stories, reviews, and whatever seems to fit the letter! Maybe a guest post or two if I can get that lined up.

  6. Patricia Lynne on March 21, 2016 at 3:07 pm

I’m always impressed with people who can do book reviews for their themes. My reading can be so sporadic that I’d have to start now to do it next year and even then I might not do it because of the titles.

  7. JEN on March 21, 2016 at 3:12 pm

That quote is awesome! And I love the theme, too. 🙂

  8. Hilary on March 21, 2016 at 3:41 pm

Hi Michelle – sounds like a great idea – and I really will enjoy reading your posts, getting to know the authors … and then I hope supporting blogging friends with books .. cheers Hilary

Love your theme Michelle! I almost zero-ed in on a book review theme, and lined up the books, but figured it would be too much pressure and settled on something else instead.

Looking forward to your A to Z Challenge posts, my favorite Ubuntu gal!

  36. Rowena on March 23, 2016 at 5:08 am

I have to laugh at your theme of the book reviews and the responses. I am something of a compulsive book buyer and I really am trying to get a grip on the whole situation. Yet, at the same time, I went to the charity shop today and bought something like 5 new books. Well, they weren’t exactly brand new but new to me. I was so excited because I found a 1962 copy of Joy Adamson: “Forever Free”…the story of Ilsa the lion and her cubs. Not sure what era you’re from but I remember these stories from when I was a kid. Finding a fabulous book is like gaining a whole new world and yet my house is over-run and I hear those goody two-shoe declutterers whispering nasty things in my ear. It is also interesting to read about the challenge of getting your book out in the marketplace because my challenge is still sitting down and writing the thing. I write all the time but when it comes to the book project, I get absolute paralysis. I am finding my progress with preparing for A2Z encouraging. I’ve been sitting on this idea for about 4 months and sat down and now have fair drafts for A-I. Yippee! Wish you all the best for the challenge and let’s try to keep in touch.
    xx Rowena

Michelle thanks for visiting and I look forward to your posts. I am a book blogger on another blog and I am partly going with a book theme but random other posts so haven’t named a theme. It will be my first time participating!

  41. Guilie Castillo on March 25, 2016 at 3:27 pm

This is a fantastic theme, Michelle—and so generous of you to turn over your blog to authors and their books for April. It’s a huge gift, to be promoted like this. It’s a huge gift for readers, too… So many books, one easy place. The blogosphere moves so fast that it’s easy to lose track (and sight) of books or authors you hear of. You *rock*, girl! And I’m very much looking forward to it 🙂
