Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!
Posting: The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer – aim for a dozen new people each time.
Don’t forget to visit them and thank them for co-hosting!
Our Twitter handle is @TheIWSG and hashtag is #IWSG.
Every month, we announce a question that members can answer in their IWSG post. These questions may prompt you to share advice, insight, a personal experience or story. Include your answer to the question in your IWSG post or let it inspire your post if you are struggling with something to say.
Remember, the question is optional!
November 03rd Question: What’s harder to do, coming up with your book title or writing the blurb?
An article that I compiled (with input from some students) has been published in the Spring/Summer 2021 edition of Independent Education which is the flagship, in-house magazine of ISASA (Independent Schools Association of South Africa).
All 860 member schools affiliated to ISASA, were invited to submit articles for inclusion in the Spring/Summer 2021 edition, so I’m quite chuffed that my article has been chosen.
Here’s a link to the article: Back To Basics Is The Key As We Contemplate A Post-Covid-19 World
I haven’t done much writing since my 100daysX100words challenge.
At the moment I’m busy with final examination marking and moderation. I’ll get back to writing as soon as my marking is done.
I know that those in the Northern Hemisphere are moving towards colder weather. We are moving in the opposite direction. Here are some pics of the beach which is 5 minutes from my home. This is the famous Moyos.
A few words about Moyo
Welcome to Moyo – the destination for a unique African dining experience. Inspired by the traditions and values of our ancestors, Moyo is a celebration of, and commitment to, the beauty of Africa, and the industry of her people. Our famously warm hospitality and modern African ambience make the Moyo experience an unforgettable one.
Here are some views walking towards the restaurant and also from inside the restaurant.
Good luck to all those who are doing NaNoWriMo! Break a pencil/pen!
HAPPY IWSG DAY!
