The Vanished Knight – Writer In Transit

The Vanished Knight

Today I'm excited to help Misha Gerrick with the release of her book The Vanished Knight

 Blurb

Since the death of her parents, Callan Blair has been shunted from one foster family to another, her dangerous secret forcing the move each time. Her latest foster family quickly ships her off to an exclusive boarding school in the Cumbrian countryside. While her foster-brother James makes it his mission to get Callan expelled, a nearby ancient castle holds the secret doorway to another land…

When Callan is forced through the doorway, she finds herself in the magical continent of Tardith, where she’s shocked to learn her schoolmates Gawain and Darrion are respected soldiers in service to the king of Nordaine, one of Tardith's realms. More than that, the two are potential heirs to the Black Knight—Nordaine's crown prince.

But when the Black Knight fails to return from a mysterious trip, the realm teeters on the brink of war. Darrion and Gawain set out to find him, while Callan discovers there is more to her family history than she thought. The elves are claiming she is their princess.

Now with Darrion growing ever more antagonistic and her friendship with Gawain blossoming, Callan must decide whether to stay in Nordaine—where her secret grows ever more threatening—or go to the elves and uncover the truth about her family before war sets the realms afire.

Bio

M. Gerrick (AKA Misha Gericke) has basically created stories since before she could write. Many of those stories grew up with her and can be seen in her current projects.

She lives close to Cape Town, with a view over False Bay and Table Mountain.

If you’d like to contact her, feel free to mail her at warofsixcrowns(AT)gmail(DOT)com, Circle her on Google Plus or follow her on Twitter. If you'd like to see her writer-side (beware, it's pretty insane), please feel free to check out her blog. You can also add The Vanished Knight on Goodreads.

                                 CONGRATULATIONS MISHA!

It's time to celebrate the small things with Viklit over at Scribblings Of An Aspiring Author.

Last week, I wrote approximately 2 000 words on one day – can you believe it? For a slow coach writer like me, that's a WHOLE LOT OF WORDS in one sitting…

Today is World Pasta Day! Ha! So for all you housewives who don't know what to cook for dinner… bon appetit!

… and if you have a moment, pop by the IWSG  Facebook Page and join in some Friday Fun…

                                             Have a great weekend!

    Time for some spaghetti!

    Congratulations to Misha.

And I think two thousand words is about the most I've ever written in a day.

Congrats to Misha. Her book sounds full of intrigue and excitement. And congrats for 2000 words in a day. I manage to do that only about once a year, and celebrate like crazy, so I know just how happy you are. 🙂

    Hi Michelle and Misha,

Yes, I understand you have been anxiously waiting for one of my highly collectable comments.  Maybe next time.

So happy for Misha and it proves that her determination, her passion to see her book published, has gone beyond a dream to a magical reality.  Well done, Misha 🙂

Michelle, 2000 words in one day!  Good going and I know how exhausting it can be countin the words.  Seems I missed World Pasta Day.  Oops.  And yes indeed, "IWSG" aka "I Was Seeking Gary", fan page on um 'Farcebook'.  Wasn't it Friday fun as I went in there and caused a bit of mayhem.  Hard to believe, I know.

    Gary 🙂

    • Michelle Wallace on October 29, 2013 at 5:01 pm

Gary, you are right. It IS exhausting counting those words…

  13. Kim Van Sickler on October 28, 2013 at 4:00 pm

Misha's getting some good publicity on her book! Feuding families, Narnian-like doorways to other worlds, and secret bloodties to elves? What's not to like about it?

  14. Crystal Collier on October 28, 2013 at 4:13 pm

Almost 2000 in one day? That's AWESOME! Woman, lend me some of that writerly energy, eh?

I'm super stoked for Misha's book, but she knows that. 😉

    • Michelle Wallace on October 29, 2013 at 5:03 pm

Hey, you've written an ENTIRE book. I should be borrowing some of your writerly energy… 🙂

  15. C. Lee McKenzie on October 28, 2013 at 4:38 pm

Great ot see Misha here with her new book! Good luck, Misha.

  16. Misha on October 28, 2013 at 5:02 pm

    Thanks Sherry, thanks Viki!

Thanks so much for your support, Gary. I think you've commented on almost all of my book's appearances. 😀

Kim that's what I was going for. 😉

Yes I do, Crystal. I'm about as stoked for yours. But then you know that too.

    Thanks Lee!

  17. Morgan Shamy on October 28, 2013 at 7:10 pm

  18. Julie K Pick on October 28, 2013 at 9:06 pm

  19. LD Masterson on October 28, 2013 at 10:21 pm

    Congratulations to Misha.

So, did I get that right? Eating pasta will help me write 2000 words a day? Sure, I'll try that.

    • Michelle Wallace on October 29, 2013 at 5:04 pm

He! He! Great thought… imagine if it were to become a reality…?

  20. Lynda R Young on October 29, 2013 at 7:50 am
