Thoughts To Ponder …..

It's been 17 days since the A~Z Challenge . I was thinking that I haven't done a post mortem on my A~Z experience . I do know that it was a blast ! A whirlwind of posting and blog-hopping ! Awesome  experience ! And I got to post every day ! And I connected with lots of new and interesting people and discovered many new blogs ! From an official perspective , I did complete the challenge (small glitch at the end …)

I've given a lot of thought to my blog and posting schedule . There are bloggers who post randomly and there are those who follow a structured schedule . (Sort of reminds me of the plotter and pantser writing styles … I wonder … As bloggers , are pantsers more inclined to be spontaneous ? And are plotters more structured bloggers ?)

Considering that I've taken on one or two extra blogging challenges (just couldn't resist …), I really need to organise my writing time and posting schedule . So it's back to the drawing board for me . Though I'm certain that a structured posting schedule should serve as a guideline . It shouldn't be cast in stone . Life gets in the way and things happen … and no , I'm not trying to justify any sort of laziness and I'm not talking about those times when writing inspiration is low ….

I suppose the ideal situation would be to marry the two approaches ? After all , some sort of order is necessary , allowing for leeway here and there … What do other bloggers feel about this ? What works best for you ?

Well, I used to post randomly and then I made blogging schedule after blogging schedule without ever following any of them to a tee so I just decided to post whenever I had something to write about…until I joined the A to Z Challenge. It was a great experience and such a wonderful, productive and supportive community of bloggers that it gave me the boost that I needed to realize that if I set out to do something, it can be done so long as I don't doubt myself and so long as I stay committed and disciplined in what I need to do.
The challenge took me from a few posts a month to 26 posts in a month and also brought me more followers and subscribers, so now I feel like, even if I feel like slacking off, I don't want to because I want to make sure that there is something new posted for my readers to enjoy.
I guess, when you know that there are people reading your posts and paying attention to you, then you don't want to let them down.

Thanks Nicole ~ it makes perfect sense … and you are so right when you say that when you know other bloggers are reading your stuff , then you will be more inclined to post regularly , so as not to let them down .
