Triple Trouble + National Wormhole Day
'Trouble comes in threes' is a superstitious old saying meaning that anything that comes in threes is unnatural, abnormal and troublesome.
Well, I've had my triple whammy! And I hope this is THE LAST!
ONE: Last month my computer crashed. It was something to do with the motherboard, whatever that means. But I was fortunate that most of the important stuff like documents and photos was salvaged.
TWO: Then about two weeks ago, my site was hacked. Believe me, you don't want to go through that experience. Fortunately, all the stuff had already been backed up by the hosting company.
THREE: Earlier this evening, when I accessed my blog I was HORRIFIED to discover that the last 3 posts are non-existent! Not there! Wiped out! No trace of them! Nothing! Nada! Zilch! Zip!
I immediately contacted the guy from the hosting company. A while back, he mentioned that he was moving all his business (and the sites they host) to a brand new server that is quicker and more reliable. It turns out that the date set for shifting all the stuff was last week Wednesday 06 March. The actual physical movement only took place today. As a result, all posts published on/after 06 March have been lost in the process.
The three posts wiped out are my IWSG post dated 06/03… my Celebrate+Cover Reveals (Mary and Meradeth's books) dated 08/03… and the Teacher/Kids post dated 11/03.
So there you have it! It cannot get worse than that! So now I feel like I want to crawl down that wormhole – and stay there for a while! Aaaaargh!
NATIONAL WORMHOLE DAY
What would you do or where would you go if you could traverse a wormhole through space or time just once? One safe round trip passage. Would you go back in time and talk some sense into a younger you? Go five years into the future and bring back the Wall Street Journal? See just how the heck the Great Pyramids of Giza were really built? View what the other side of the universe looks like? Kill Hitler?
My answer will be threefold, in keeping with the triple trouble I've experienced lately! I'd like to go back in time and save my computer from crashing, bash some sense into that hacker's head and go into cyberspace and retrieve my 3 lost posts…
Okay, now that I've got that out of the way…..
TIME PERIOD: Somewhere around 29A.D.
LOCATION: Capernaum in Galilee/ the sea of Galilee
CITIZENS: I'm front row of a gathering of hundreds of followers including simple middle class farmers, fishermen, tax collectors, people from the synagogue, the sick and the suffering
OCCASION: The viewing of a miracle in front of your eyes!
MOOD: buzz in the air… tension and excitement… skepticism… disbelief… the knowledge that you are witness to a very special event that will impact eternity…
There are a collection of miracles performed by Jesus. It would be difficult to name just one. So it will have to be a triple whammy!
1. Feeding the 5000 with five loaves and two fish
2. Raising Jairus' daughter
3. Changing water into wine

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALBERT EINSTEIN!
Oh, wow, trouble did come in threes to you. Everytime I read one of these stories about a computer crashing I rush to do another backup!
But a trip to Galilee should improve your mood. Happy Wormhole Day. 🙂
Amen! That would be a wonderful sight to behold.
Sorry about all of your lost posts. I guess you could re-post them, but not quite the same.
know the feeling when your computer crashes… it happened to me several times but I still haven't learned my lesson.
Great choice! Smething small, huh? 😉
I had my blogs vanish for 90 minutes last year. Talk about panic. They did come back though.
I would not like a crashing of my computer!! I would be so lost!! Fun read!
@Luanne ~ thanks for hosting this interesting blog hop!
@Alex ~ I can imagine the atmosphere at such a gathering…
@Adriana ~ something small yet highly significant! 🙂
@L.Diane ~ they DID come back… you were soooo lucky that it was temporary!
@Sandy ~ it's frustrating and so inconvenient! Aaaaargh!
Sorry about your troubles. Your wormhole idea sounds really cool. Wonder what Jesus would do about computers…hmmm…
Very cool! That would've been great to see.
Hugs and chocolate,
Shelly
I'm sorry about your blog problems. Hopefully, that's all out of the way.
That would be a wonderful and interesting sight to see back in time.
You're the second one to go back to that time. Maybe you'll see each other there! 🙂
Poor you. I know the feeling of losing my entire blog, and once having my account replaced on Triberr. Not fun. Hope it is all good now, and I lurve your wormhole trip 🙂
@M.J. ~ I think he'd own a special trouble-free computer, ensuring an uninterrupted connection with his followers!
@Shelly ~ Yep, super-cool event!
@Medeia ~ I think going back, would be much more interesting than going forward in time
@Cheryl ~ That's a real possibility. 🙂 How cool would that be?
@Damyanti ~ Thanks Damyanti! You've lost an ENTIRE blog? Crikey! That sucks 🙂
Oh the computer age, when so much work can be lost in the blink of an electron. Sorry to hear you have had so much trouble lately. A little trip to behold miracles sounds like just what you need.
That really sucks to be hit with all those computer woes! I go nuts when just one happens–let alone all three. Hope the digital world decides to play nice!
Love your pick! That would be awesome to watch and partake in!!
Wonderful choice! I wish I had thought of that. I would love to sit at Jesus' feet and listen to his voice, and see the miracles!
Wow. Wow. You've had a rough month, huh? Sorry about the lost blog posts! And the computer crash! But you're up and running now! Nothing can stop you!!
Now that you've got the three "nasties" behind you, here's to at least three "whoopees" coming your way. (Gotta have balance in all things, right?)
Lots of bloggers chose to go back to Biblical times, but I would have had a hard time pinpointing a single place and time. Maybe to hear Jesus preach as a young boy? To see some of the miracles? The parting of the Red Sea? Paul's transformation? David and Goliath? Etc, etc. So I took the easier way out. Yep, I'm a wimp.
Witnessing that particular miracle would be awesome!

I saw you'd been hacked and gasped for you. What a nightmare! Glad you were able to save your documents and all. A motherboard failure is better than a hard drive failure. I only know this from Husband Unit's techy geekness. When my website crashed, I emailed my brother in panic [he's my web guy], and confirmed his opinion that I'm a computer idiot. lol
No doubt Michelle! I cannot even imagine what that must've been like. Just getting a glimpse of the real Jesus would be a life changing event–and to think all tthose who did and never appreciated it.
Sorry about your blog woes. That just sucks cuz so much work goes into blogging. ((hugs))
Ouch, the loss of posts and things like that is one of the most annoying things I can think of!
A lot of people have mentioned Jesus. It can be a bit awkward for me as an atheist but…well, I can see why it holds a lot of appeal to believers 😀
@Shell Flower ~ A trip to behold such a wondrous sight would be amazing… a life-changing occasion!
@Meradeth ~ The digital world is erratic! No element of compromise either. LOL. You just have to accept what it dishes out…… 🙂
@Tyrean ~ Those miracles are something else! Imagine the atmosphere…
@Lynne ~ Rough month? That's putting it mildly! But yes, I'm back now. I refuse to let the digital universe get the better of me!
@Susan ~ Right! You are spot on! Now I'm just waiting for three "whoopees". No, you're not a wimp. It WAS difficult to pinpoint a specific time/place. There were so many other possibilities…
@Nutschell ~ Awesome? Yes! super-duper-ultra-uber awesomeness! *waving*
@Mary ~ Welcome to the club of computer idiots, Mary. I'm glad to have found some company. I was beginning to think that I was the only one… 🙂
@PK ~ Lots of them were probably unaware of just how important He was…
@Trisha ~ no need to feel awkward Trisha… I appreciate and respect your straightforward and candid comment. 🙂
Sorry about your toubles. I shall put a lucky spell on you that is blessed by Saint Patrick himself. One second….okay done. You should have nothing but good fortune all year. 🙂
And that wormhole adventure sounds like a most excellent one. Can I come or is it too late?
Can you blame it on the Wormhole? Einstein? So sorry.
Oh, Michelle, that's awful! I'm so sorry all those dreadful problems came your way. But I believe in karmic balance, and I think something really good should happen to you soon to make up for it! 🙂
You chose a great period to revisit Michelle! Sorry about all of your blogging nightmares. Hope everything is okay from now on.
@Mina ~ Thank you for that lucky spell! 🙂 I feel better already. And yes, you can come along on the wormhole jump, the more the merrier!
@C.Lee ~ Somebody has to be responsible for this. Since the timing makes sense, I'll blame it on Einstein. 🙂
@Lexa ~ Karmic balance? I'm definitely due for good things after all that!
@Julie ~ It seems to have settled down Julie. I really can't be having all these unnecessary glitches with the A to Z around the corner!
Well that trip down the wormhole ought to provide you with the fortitude to come back & face a whole lifetime of whammy's, eh? But let's hope you can stop being tested for a nice space of time now.
I know you will have a great time!
That's terrible about your lost posts. And scary about the hacking. Hope April is better for you, Michelle.
Being hacked is so scary and because of my recent fire I know do the cloud thing with Dropbox. Breathing easier because of it!
@Nicki ~ I've been tested to the max! Enough is enough.
@Evalina ~ It would be a great experience, for sure!
@Stina ~ Well, April is the A to Z, so it's gonna be a hectic time. But I don't mind. All I need is my internet connection and no more drama!!
@Yolanda ~ I saw that Dropbox thinggie… I think I read it on your blog post. Sounds handy. 🙂
Gosh, Michelle, hopefully things will only turn for the better for you. 🙂
Thanks Mel 🙂
