U is for Under The Tuscan Moon

U - 2016Welcome to the annual A to Z Challenge.

My theme: showcasing bloggers books, novellas, short story collections, poetry collections and some non-fiction books. The letters of the alphabet will correspond with the book title. I’ll be posting a link to my review of each book. I also have two questions for the author, just to spice things up a little.

Hopefully, visitors to my blog will be able to increase their reading lists and also get ideas for their wish lists.

Under The Tuscan Moon by Denise Covey. Read my review HERE.

Under The Tuscan Moon

Genre/Category: Paranormal Romance, which includes fantasy, horror and Gothic influences.

The book character you want to have coffee with is: Well, the characters in my book don’t drink coffee, they drink blood, well, er. the vamps do, even though the main character Vipunin lusts over Tuscan wine. So I’d have to go with having afternoon tea with Sibon and Ciassia in their castle where the coffee would be made from hickory and served in pewter cups.

What would you name the autobiography of your life? Because I’m a travel freak, I would call it ‘Trains, and Boats and Planes – after the song’. So my autobiography would be in the form of a travel narrative. Wanna read it? Cuz I wanna write it!

One lucky winner will receive an e-book of Under The Tuscan Moon.  Please leave an e-mail address after your comment by Thursday 28th April, if you wish to be entered in the giveaway. Winners will be announced on Friday 29th April.

You have been invited to a masked ball in Tuscany. What costume would you wear? What’s your least favorite mode of transportation? Can you believe only five more posts to go?

Hi Michelle – good book for the ‘U’ … I’ve got Denise’s book and must read it – it’ll take me off to Italy … and perhaps the Umbrian sun too .. cheers Hilary

    Hi Michelle!
Sorry I’ve been tripping around the world and haven’t had time to read many A-Z posts! Wow! Nearly done!
Thank you for showcasing my novella and for your lovely review. My appreciation knows no bounds.
I arrived home today from my latest trip. Will read all of your posts so I can support all the blogger/writers you have showcased.

Thank you again. Let me know who to send the free ebook to. 🙂

I really like the Denise’s cover. I don’t normally read paranormal romance, but I would pick that book up and read the blurb on the back.

  5. L. Diane Wolfe on April 25, 2016 at 11:54 am

    I would read that.

  6. Pat Garcia on April 25, 2016 at 12:47 pm

Oh No! Here’s another book that I haven’t read. I’m loving your Challenge postings. This one will go on my TBR for sure. However, here is one of my email addresses just in case I win.

I love to travel too. I like driving, flying and the train but I don’t like the crowds in airports or on the subway.

  8. Mary Aalgaard on April 25, 2016 at 1:18 pm

I would go black and white with a black and white drama mask for the ball, and feathers for embellishments. My least favorite mode of transportation is snowmobiles. cold, windy, and bumpy. Not for me. For many people in my region, it’s their favorite.

  9. Alex J. Cavanaugh on April 25, 2016 at 1:29 pm

They can have their blood and I’ll take the Tuscan wine.

  10. Murees on April 25, 2016 at 2:06 pm

I bought it, but I still have to read it. Looking forward to it though. I still love this cover.

You are doing great, Michelle. Only a few more posts to go. You can do it.

  11. Nilanjana Bose on April 25, 2016 at 2:08 pm

I’ll wear silver grey with deep emerald highlights, and peacock feather embellishments, a peacock blue shot colour mask. Skip the blood and go for the wine.

I love travelling totally, though it’s becoming really hard nowadays because of the paperwork and the security situation. My least fav mode would definitely be air, the pre-flight formalities are a pain and getting worse and not much chance of any change in that soon.

I have read UtTM and it is awesome, it does transport the reader to Tuscany, the details reflect the amount of meticulous research the author has done.

    • Denise Covey on April 26, 2016 at 1:27 am

Thanks Nila! Sorry to hear travel is difficult for you. There’s certainly places I will no longer visit!

I have read Under the Tuscan Sun but this is a new one for me!!!

Write it and I will come! Anything about travel catches my attention. Loved Under the Tuscan Sun because it was an outward bound adventure for the MC and I love Italy.

  14. Christine Rains on April 25, 2016 at 5:33 pm

Ooh, a costume ball. I’d be something magical, like a forest nymph or frost elf. I can’t believe there’s only five more days left!

  15. WriterlySam on April 25, 2016 at 6:17 pm

Love that cover, Denise! I’ll pick up the coffee slack while your characters get their B Positive refills. I can see your biography being called, “Wanderlust”.

    • Denise Covey on April 26, 2016 at 1:25 am

‘Wanderlust’ is a good title. I thought of ‘Wander Woman’ too, lol! Glad you like the cover~

  16. Fran on April 25, 2016 at 7:22 pm

I think just going to Tuscanny would be enough for me! Have to have a think about a costume…

  17. Ryan Carty on April 25, 2016 at 7:31 pm

I would wear black pants to the ball. The end. 😉
And my least favorite mode of transportation is fancy dirigible.

  18. Silvia Villalobos on April 25, 2016 at 7:51 pm

Michelle, a great U post. Thank you.
My mask/costume for the ball … something Victorian, I think. Just because I remember seeing something similar in movies. Least favorite mode of transportation is by plane — no control, even though there are more accidents on the road.
Yes, five more days! That I like. 🙂

  19. Karen on April 25, 2016 at 9:49 pm

I do love a good vampire tale and Tuscany is a great setting.

You are doing a great job here.

Sounds like an awesome read! Love the book cover too!

  24. Rian on April 26, 2016 at 10:28 am

I can’t believe I missed this blog at the theme reveal. Seems like I’ll have a lot of reading to do during May. 🙂

  25. Darcy on April 26, 2016 at 9:11 pm

A masquerade ball in Tuscany – I would have to go as a Roman Goddess. Least favorite form of transportation is the bus. This sounds like an interesting book.

  26. Anne on April 28, 2016 at 1:44 am

Mm…masked ball in Tuscany. Too busy dreaming to think much past that. I just finished a draft for a novel where the character wears a mask for most of it and I keep trying to think – what kind of mask! Ah, can’t decide! Mm, making me want to go to Italy and take the train. I love the train in Italy, although you might need a rental depending on where. I really want to go to Florence now, and Rome, my two favorite cities in the world. Planes are probably my least favorite mode of transport though sometimes you have to do it. 13 hour flight to Italy from here – just thinking in my brain… 🙂
