V is for Volvelle

Viva! All you A to Z voyagers, or should I say valiant vagabonds who have wandered around in this vast sphere, visiting various versatile blogs. Blow your vuvuzelas! VOILA! V-Day is vanquished. Va-va-voom! Va-va-voom! Victory in view. Will your verdict be Veni Vidi Vici?

Ever wondered what books would say if they had the chance to express themselves/air their views?

Well, you are about to find out!

All illustrations are by the talented Mary-An. Check out her website HERE

But wait! What is a volvelle? It's a wheel chart which is a type of slide chart, a paper construction with rotating parts. It is considered an early example of a paper analog computer.[1] Go to WIKIPEDIA for more info…

And now you get to play along! What do YOU think the volvelle wants to tell us? Post it in the comment section below. Have fun!

At the end of the challenge, between 02nd and 05th of May, I'm going to announce my favourite "book comment" which will be the one that resonates with me the most!

A REMINDER: the IWSG site will have a corresponding post for each letter/day of the A to Z Challenge so do stop by.

On the Facebook page, a thread will be started for the "letter of the day" and we'd LOVE you to share your A to Z post links on the daily thread – this saves YOU time scrolling through links on the master A to Z sign-up list, especially since people post at different times… some MAY skip letters… dead links etc.

One last thing – don't forget to visit those who stop by your blog!

Wow, how do you discover all these cool books?! This is awesome.

This is what it's saying to me personally:

"You want to use me in your Fantasy story. Find a way to accomodate me into your world – I am the coolest book (ok maybe apart from the Jar Book. That's pretty awesome) you have ever come across. Not only am I cool and practical, I am also pretty, so pretty. Be sure to display me prominently though, I was a lead role."

Vertigo is the validation for the volvelle's vacillation.

"Spin me round and round… see if you can touch the ground. Where I'll stop, no one knows, let see how fast, until it slows…"

"You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round, like a record, baby, right 'round 'round 'round…"
