W is for Wallbook
Welcome to all you wonderful wordsmiths who, at this stage, are also weary, washed-out, wrecked worrywarts and waffling along to the end of the challenge. Well done to all you whacky, wise-crack writers who are wavering and wringing your hands in wild wonder as you whoooooooosh warmheartedly across the blogoverse. Wow! Three days left. Whoopee! *whistles*
Ever wondered what books would say if they had the chance to express themselves/air their views?
Well, you are about to find out!
All illustrations are by the talented Mary-An. Check out her website HERE
But wait! What is a wallbook?
A Wallbook is a large printed book that is designed also to be mounted on a wall. For example, its design may be concertina folded so it can be read like a book or hung on a wall.
The name was coined by Christopher Lloyd, creator of The What on Earth? Wallbook which claims to be the first ever attempt to illustrate the entire history of everything from the Big Bang to the present day on a single timeline. [1]

And now you get to play along! What do YOU think the wallbook wants to tell us? Post it in the comment section below. Have fun!
At the end of the challenge, between 02nd and 05th of May, I'm going to announce my favourite "book comment" which will be the one that resonates with me the most!
A REMINDER: the IWSG site will have a corresponding post for each letter/day of the A to Z Challenge so do stop by.
On the Facebook page, a thread will be started for the "letter of the day" and we'd LOVE you to share your A to Z post links on the daily thread – this saves YOU time scrolling through links on the master A to Z sign-up list, especially since people post at different times… some MAY skip letters… dead links etc.
One last thing – don't forget to visit those who stop by your blog!
My dance card isn't full. Ask me to dance.
How did you find all this stuff? can't wait for x and z
no thumb tacks please – they pinch
Look – I double as artwork!
I've never heard of a wallbook. I want one now.

This has been my first time, but nearly done! Nice to meet and follow through atoz http://aimingforapublishingdeal.blogspot.co.uk/
How fun! Kind of makes me want to do one. Something fun & personalized to hang on the wall. ^_^
I think it would really depend on what wall in what room!!! I bet they'd see some interesting things! Waht if we had one from da Vinci's rooms and it could talk now – awesome!
I think a wallbook should be someone who's not only unpopular as a wallflower at parties, but doesn't like to leave at the end, so he's called a wallbook.
Or a wall in a kid's room that's been drawn and written on so often, he's a book – a wallbook. 😉
A long time ago, I heard someone call "wallbooks" those books you threw at the wall because they were so bad! This is a different take on it.
Why have I never heard of a Wallbook before?
Michelle, you come up with such amazing words!!
I'm really clashing with the floral wallpaper. Please remove it.
Don't you think about hanging that tapestry over me.
Smiling from ear to ear reading this post! Never heard if a Wall book before but it would be so great to have one!!
HiMchelle .. I knew about these .. I'd wanted to get the Shakespeare Wallbook …
So I'll say: To Be or Not to Be – that is the blogging question …
Cheers Hilary … it only came out on May Day?! No wonder I waited to comment .. no just hadn't got here …
