Welcome to the annual A to Z Challenge.
My theme: showcasing bloggers books, novellas, short story collections, poetry collections and some non-fiction books. The letters of the alphabet will correspond with the book title. I’ll be posting a link to my review of each book. I also have two questions for the author, just to spice things up a little.
Hopefully, visitors to my blog will be able to increase their reading lists and also get ideas for their wish lists.
The Execution by Sharon Cramer. Read my review HERE.
Genre/Category: The Execution was a hard genre to categorize. It is very literary and, technically, “Historical Fiction”, but what I would call “soft history” in the sense that E.T. is “soft” Sci-Fi. Other than the period in which it’s set, the book is strongly character driven and also slips into the action-adventure, romance, and paranormal categories. There…have I muddied the waters enough?
The book character you want to have coffee with is: Nicolette. I say that because she is still such a mystery to me, even after having completed the third book. Perhaps a visit over coffee would enlighten me on her somewhat. The other character, of course, would be Ravan. But then, who wouldn’t want to spend a cup of coffee, or a lifetime, with him?
What would you name the autobiography of your life? The autobiography of my life? Easy… “How to Derail Normal”
One lucky winner will receive a HARD copy, signed of the book, as well as a CD of the music tract, signed by the writer, written for The Execution (3 demo songs). Please leave an e-mail address after your comment by Thursday 28th April (today), if you wish to be entered in the giveaway. Winners will be announced on Friday 29th April (tomorrow).
Do you read Historical Fiction? What do you think is the X-factor that makes a book character really stand out? Did you struggle with your X-post?
