What's that sound you ask? Brain shutting down…

Ever wondered what books would say if they had the chance to express themselves/air their views?

Well, you are about to find out!

And now you get to play along! What do YOU think the yearbook wants to tell us? Post it in the comment section below. Have fun!

At the end of the challenge, between 02nd and 05th of May, I'm going to announce my favourite "book comment" which will be the one that resonates with me the most!

A REMINDER: the IWSG site will have a corresponding post for each letter/day of the A to Z Challenge so do stop by.

ONLY 1 post left… almost there…

Prepare to be embarrassed for all eternity!

Oh my, I have all my school yearbooks … from first grade to senior year. This is such a wonderful question. I think mine would say: Hey Jess, take a look through me, travel down memory lane. Don't be hesitant… you have some faulty memories! Read the notes from all your classmates. Those notes sound different now, don't they? You can actually read the love. C'mon, you need to remember your school years with pleasure, Jess. You had fun. All your embarrassing mistakes came later. 🙂

Yearbooks, hmm so you see what you were like that year, what you did, what you hoped to do and how you smiled and or… – come on they say, dare go through us again?

"You haven't seen the last of me! I've discovered the path to immortality–where your questionable wardrobe choices and big hair will never die! I'm calling my incarnation, Face Book!"

I think my yearbook would say, look at all the missed opportunities!

Interesting question you have posed… all the more poignant since we just had our 40th reunion (I didn't go.)  I was discussing this with a group of friends and the general consensus was that we like our lives now and have no desire to go back to that group of friends or times in our lives.  That is not to say that I don't have any of the same friends I had then (there are a handful I keep up with) but for the most part the crowd then that seemed to intimidate me so much then is not important to me any more.

    And that's a good thing!

The Attack of the Possessed Yearbook: "Trying to hide me away in some box? Forgotten and alone with all those floating heads? Never. I have my ways…"

Yearbook: Oh, the memories…guaranteed to make you cry 10 years from now…one way or the other…

All my yearbooks are stashed at my parents' house. I can see a yearbook as being kind of mocking. "Haha, look how you used to be. You let yourself go." It's not nice, which is kind of sad.

If you're smart, you'll close this book now and remember us the way we were. 🙂

I think the yearbook would tell us to relax and enjoy … and be prepared for how everyone's definition of cool and successful will change over the next few years! 🙂

"C'mon, just one little peek … no one needs to know. You weren't really as dorky as you thought you were."

    (Okay, I guess I'll take a look.)

    "Gotcha!" 😉

Take a look inside to remember who you were. Have you become who you expected or become a whole new you? Take a moment to remember all your dreams and lofty goals. Have you made your dreams come true? Did your goals change you? Have you lost who you were and need to be reminded? Did you need to forget and move on to new horizons? Don't live in the memories, as you can never stay in the past, but take a good look now and then to see how far you have come.

Ha-ha….I haven't looked at them in years! I think they might say…."I've heard this all before."

Love your intro! Best one yet. Why? 'Cause it goes with my current state of mind lol

Yearbook: "Looking forward to looking back? I'm your blast from the past!"

Get lost in my world of nostalgia.

Yearbook says, "Yowzah, you looked like a yak in your youth! Your hair's yanked into something like the Yeti yacked up. And yikes, your yucky yellow yarn sweater is a yawn–did you yield to that at a yard sale? Oy-yoy-yoy… You didn't yoga yet either, did you, yearning for a yo-yo diet of Yoo-hoo and York patties…"

I think we can all agree: Yearbooks are mean.
